The East of England Endoscopy Training Academy (EoEETA) is funded by NHS England and hosted by Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The role involves developing and delivering clinical endoscopy training to staff across the East of England, working as part of the core EoEETA team.

The Clinical Endoscopist Lead will provide specialist advice, support delivery of training programmes and lead the regional clinical endoscopist training programme.

• Act as a subject matter expert to drive forward and implement NHS England’s objectives for Clinical Endoscopist education.

• Current NMC or HCPC registration
• Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation in upper and/or lower GI diagnostic endoscopy

• Evidence of Advanced Practice (Master’s level qualification or Advanced Practice Portfolio)

• Extensive knowledge of Clinical Endoscopist training and infrastructure requirements

• Knowledge of key policies and strategies in relation to Clinical Endoscopist education

The Arthur South Day Procedure Unit provides a multi-disciplinary approach to support patients coming in for their surgery and Pre‑Op Assessment appointments. The admin team, comprised of Receptionists and admission Clerks, works closely with the clinical team to deliver high quality, patient‑focused healthcare at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The Directorate of Laboratory Medicine also known as Eastern Pathology Alliance encompasses Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology and Cytogenetics. EPA provides a range of analysis of blood, body fluids and tissues for the Hospital inpatient and out-patient population, all the GP’s in Norfolk and other neighbouring Trusts.

The majority of these samples arrive in the central reception area where they are sorted, registered on the lab computer systems and prepared for analysis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving early detection of lung cancer and other respiratory conditions, reducing health inequalities and supporting patients through screening, assessment and follow-up.
