People Business Partner (3-Month FTC)
Location: Remote with travel across the South East of England
Salary: £50,000 (pro rata)
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic People Business Partner to join this growing national business on a 3-month fixed-term contract . This is a key role supporting leaders and teams across the organisation, delivering a high-quality, generalist HR service with a strong focus on employee relations .
This is a remote position , with travel required as and when across the South-East of England. Candidate’s based in North East London may be best situated.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all people-related matters
- Lead and support on a wide range of employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, etc.)
- Provide proactive and commercially focused HR guidance aligned to business needs
- Support organisational change activities where required
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and best practice
- Analyse trends in people data and provide insights and recommendations
- Partner with stakeholders to drive engagement and performance
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Business Partner role
- Strong expertise in employee relations is essential
- Able to work at pace and manage a varied caseload effectively
- Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders remotely
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable

A City of London based international trading firm now has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior HR Business Partner to join their forward thinking HR team. The business have 800+ employees in a variety of locations across the globe. This particular role will be supporting a trading population in the UK and several distribution offices in Europe and Asia.
The role itself will have a broad HRBP remit covering a multitude of areas such as organisational design, employee relations, leadership coaching, talent and succession planning, risk management, senior level stakeholder management and HR projects e.g. opening of new offices.

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered again, with a well known retailer, that is looking for a Payroll Manager, on a permanent basis. The Payroll Manager will ensure hands on support is provided, with the responsibility to lead and develop a team of 4, to continuously improve and simplify process and controls. This role is on a hybrid basis, consisting of 3 days per week, in their central London office.
The Payroll Manager will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:- Oversee end to end payroll processing for all UK & RIO, consisting of 7,000 volume
- Overview of global process of auto enrolment and postponement, not currently automated through the payroll
- Initiate and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
- Lead a team of 4 payrollers
- Preparation and posting of payroll journals for the company P&L
- To work closely with HR and Ops to identify best practice and continuously improve process compliance.
