Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Lead Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Surveyor looking for a role with genuine ownership, visibility and progression? This is a standout opportunity to join a growing fire protection and property services branch delivering reactive works, planned contracts and project‑led schemes across East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties.
The branch has already achieved strong growth, with turnover of around £9.4 m last year and an expected exceedance of £10 m this year. You will step into a key senior commercial role, taking ownership of commercial performance across multiple workstreams while working closely with operational teams and senior management.
The RoleAs Lead Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial side of a varied and fast‑moving branch workload – from reactive maintenance and smaller works to major client accounts, public sector frameworks and longer‑term contracts.
Responsibilities- Lead the branch commercial function
- Manage commercial performance across multiple workstreams
- Prepare, review and complete month‑end CVRs
- Run regular CVRs across live contracts
- Price works and support tender submissions
- Manage invoicing, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitor cost control, profitability and commercial risk
- Track reactive and project‑led works commercially
- Produce accurate commercial reports
- Work closely with operational and branch teams
- Support improved branch performance
- Help develop junior commercial staff
We are looking for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor who can confidently take ownership of a branch‑level commercial function. Fire protection, passive fire, fire doors or fire stopping experience would be useful, but is not essential. The priority is strong Quantity Surveying experience, commercial accuracy, CVR confidence and the ability to manage multiple contracts, accounts and workstreams in a busy operational environment.
Relevant backgrounds could include fire protection, passive fire, reactive maintenance, property services, social housing, planned works, refurbishment, construction, public sector frameworks, healthcare, education or leisure‑sector works.
Essential Experience- Strong Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience managing commercial performance
- CVR and month‑end reporting experience
- Pricing, invoicing and valuation experience
- Variations, final accounts and cost control knowledge
- Ability to manage varied project values and contract types
- Strong attention to detail and commercial accuracy
- Confidence working with operational teams
- Ability to support junior commercial staff
