They work on a wide variety of projects engineered in a broad spectrum of metals and across a number of industries.

You will be amazed at the incredible variety of work which comes through this workshop. The work can be anything from complete design and build to repair and the flexibility of the services the business can provide is one of its greatest strengths. As a result, a role is being created as an Engineering Estimator / Coordinator.

By the established nature of the business and the variety of responsibilities that will eventually be included in this role, you may have all of the skills already or you may just have one or more of the core skills but are keen and willing to learn the others.

This really will be a role where you will be working hand in hand with the clients, suppliers, welders, fabricators and senior management to provide the very best service and result to the client at all times so is a critical role to the ongoing success of the business. Ultimately the goal would be to move towards an Engineering Manager position.

As you can see from the variety of the backgrounds you might possibly come from, the duties are going to ultimately be just as varied. All of the above will eventually be included in your role but this business is in a position to be able to hand hold you in those areas that you are not yet competent to train and support you to take on those extra responsibilities.

As such the range of salary expectation is wide, between £28,000 and £36,000 per annum depending on the level of your experience. This remuneration package though is definitely expected to increase in increments as you prove yourself and grow your responsibilities in the role. Once you are competent and capable in all the areas described your salary and package will certainly exceed the £36,000. The company is one which values the contribution you make to the business and remunerates accordingly.

The Role

Field Service Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)

Location: Gainsborough (Workshop & Field Based)

A well‑established engineering company is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its team.

This is a field‑based role covering customers across the UK and Ireland. You'll spend most of your time attending customer sites carrying out fault finding, servicing, repairs, installations and commissioning work. When you're not on the road, you'll be based at the workshop in Gainsborough supporting the engineering team.

This role would suit someone with a good mix of electrical and mechanical experience who enjoys problem‑solving and is happy with regular travel.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on customer machinery
• Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown visits
• Install, commission and upgrade equipment at customer sites
• Provide technical support and advice to customers when required
• Complete service reports and job documentation

You will be operating bagging machines, mixers and weighers. Will involve lifting (5kg bags) and manual handling. Moving stock and pallets using fork lift so own in date flt licence will be required.

You will need to be used to operating within strict H&S guidelines and working as part of a team in a busy and demanding environment.

We just need people with a good attitude and a good work ethic.
