An established tech-led business is expanding its production-scale AI voice assistant platform and is looking for a Senior Python Developer to help enhance and grow the system. You’ll work across real-time voice processing, agent logic and integrations that power thousands of interactions daily.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and own robust backend systems that power a production AI voice platform, with a focus on reliability, scalability and performance.
  • Develop and support services across real-time voice workflows, task coordination and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Take technical ownership within the team, contributing to code quality through reviews, testing practices and well-documented solutions.
  • Ensure systems run effectively in live environments, including monitoring, incident resolution and ongoing operational improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering peers, contributing to planning and mentoring less experienced developers.
Skills:
  • Proven experience delivering and operating complex backend systems in live, customer-facing environments with frequent releases.
  • Deep hands-on Python experience, with a track record of designing clean, reliable and maintainable services.
  • Practical experience working with AI-powered or distributed systems running in production.
  • Strong familiarity with modern engineering toolchains, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD and observability tooling.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with confidence navigating and improving interconnected systems.

The Senior Python Developer role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates based near Chester for occasional onsite collaboration if required. The role is paying circa £70,000 with some flex for the right individual with Voice experience.

ShortList Recruitment are working with an excellent Chester-based client who are recruiting for a Data Warehouse Manager to join their growing team.

The Data Warehouse Manager will ensure the data warehouse team is managed appropriately, scheduled jobs run without error and are delivered within SLA. This is a hands-on role which will primarily support the business with SAS, being used as the primary tool for analytics, data mining, data warehousing and production of MI/BI.
