Role Overview

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and support of electrical systems and components critical to our cutting‑edge aerospace technologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate electrical systems and wiring harnesses in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, systems, and software engineers to integrate electrical solutions effectively.
  • Support prototype build and testing activities, analysing test data and implementing design improvements as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation including schematics, specifications, and test reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven experience in electrical design and development, preferably within aerospace, defence, or related engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit design principles.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, MIL-STD, or equivalent aerospace regulations.
  • Competency in using engineering tools such as CAD software and electrical simulation packages.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities efficiently.
  • Experience working on aerospace or defence projects.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations and testing procedures.
  • Professional engineering accreditation (e.g., IET Chartered Engineer status) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and quality assurance processes.

About the role

As a Commercial Officer, you will support the full contract lifecycle across UK Defence and Government programmes — from bid and proposal support through to contract management, change control, subcontract administration, and contract close-out.

You will work closely with Programme Management, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure commercial compliance, protect business interests, and support successful customer delivery.

Key responsibilities Contracts & Commercial Management

Support the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of commercial agreements, including:

  • Customer contracts
  • Subcontracts
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Teaming Agreements
  • Framework agreements

Support the management of contract amendments, variations, extensions, and change control activities.

Review contractual terms and conditions to identify commercial risk, compliance obligations, and key deliverables.

Assist in ensuring appropriate contractual flow-downs to suppliers and subcontractors.

Maintain accurate commercial records and contract documentation in line with internal governance and audit requirements.

Support contract lifecycle activities from contract award through to delivery and close-out.
