What the day will look like

In this wide and varied role your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the structuring and placement of sophisticated tax risks in the insurance market to remove barriers to M&A deals (or risk transfer in a non‑transaction context).
  • Lead day‑to‑day delivery of broking placements – including client and insurer engagement, preparation of insurer submissions, drafting of client reports, project‑managing the underwriting process, and handling policy binding.
  • Supervise post‑transaction handling of invoicing and collate post‑deal marketing collateral.
  • Manage collaborator relationships (client and adviser relationships being key to business generation).
  • Boost understanding of the broader AMATS capabilities to effectively connect with collaborators.
  • Assist with proposals/pitches and develop the team’s pipeline.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Manager‑level experience in M&A tax, preferably in a Big 4 or legal firm, specialising in international tax.
  • Strong understanding of tax principles, compliance and regulations, with exposure to transactional tax matters.
  • Experience in a Transfer Pricing team with a broader tax background is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability and desire to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about business development activities and client presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues effectively.
