Taylor Woodrow is seeking a Utility Coordinator to support the delivery of the Norwich to Tilbury project. Working closely with utility providers, designers and construction teams, you will coordinate utility-related activities, ensure asset protection measures are implemented, and support safe and efficient project delivery.
Duties
- Liaise with utility companies and stakeholders to coordinate existing and proposed utility assets.
- Agree and manage utility protection, diversion and mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate utility records, surveys and documentation.
- Support project planning and construction teams with utility-related requirements.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor utility works and ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Assist with inspections, reporting and issue resolution.
- Support BIM and digital information management processes.
Person Specification
- Experience within utilities, civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of utility coordination and asset protection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of health & safety requirements and safe systems of work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team working on the Great Grid Partnership – a framework consisting of six other supply chain partners delivering an initial £9 billion worth of network infrastructure design and construction by 2030. The framework will help the UK reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and make sure the electricity network is fit for the future, carrying more clean, secure energy from where it is generated to where it is needed.
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading all quality activities across two of our projects on the Great Grid Partnership framework: Kiln Lane Substation and Norwich to Tilbury OHL and substations.
Responsibilities- Lead all quality assurance activities across the two major infrastructure projects.
- Understand and implement both company and Client quality management systems.
- Prepare the Quality Plan to meet the requirements of both quality systems and review and revise as necessary for each phase of the project.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client on quality issues.
- Establish Project Quality Objectives and KPIs.
- Establish a system of Quality Control on the project and manage that system at all levels, including setting up handover structures from the outset of the project and measuring progress.
- Prepare a list of Management System Documentation applicable to the project and keep this up to date as the project progresses.
- Advise on the preparation of other project documents, such as Project Environmental Management Plan, Project Health & Safety Management Plan, Project Cost Plan, Project Risk Management Plan, etc., and ensure these documents are prepared by appropriate members of the project team for each phase of the project, and reviewed and revised as necessary.
- Carry out quality system audits on all suppliers, including design consultants.
- Develop a project quality training programme and ensure project personnel receive appropriate training.
- Previous experience in a quality management role on a major infrastructure project is essential.
- Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute or Institution of Civil Engineers is desirable.
- Previous experience working with National Grid is advantageous but not essential.

The scheme runs between Wolverhampton and Birmingham and consists of multi-phased works to build cycling infrastructure, connecting into existing routes at Culwell Street and stretching toward New Cross Hospital.
Duties- Develop and drive our civils schemes from EI stage to delivery

- Take an active role in the planning stages of our schemes
- Manage your site teams and supply chain partners to ensure work is carried out safely and within program
- Work closely with our Pre-Construction team and the client, assisting with the development of the programmes and influencing during the EDI stage
- Develop and manage contractual programmes, updating cost forecasts alongside the commercial team
- Develop individuals in your team, through coaching and training
- Ensure materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured to meet targets

- Experience in the delivery of multiple civils schemes or a major project within highways
- A formal qualification in a civil engineering related subject is advantageous

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager to be responsible for the financial and contractual performance of the MEP packages across Old Oak Common Station. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior Commercial Manager will oversee the commercial activities of the MEP packages through procurement to commercial delivery.
Duties- Establish client supply chain requirements & advise on alternative forms of contract & procurement arrangements.
- Take a key role in contract negotiations with the client and adopt a major part in achieving satisfactory outcomes in terms of profit and customer satisfaction.
- Define accurately and concisely the commercial parameters of opportunities, ensuring they are aligned with the business plan.
- Monitor and ensure prompt resolution of final accounts, including settlement of variations, claims and disputes.
- Manage, reduce and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficiencies across the MEP packages.
- Verify and monitor the monthly site financial reporting (Project Manager Reports and Cost Value Reports).
- Identify areas of non/low performance and implement suitable rectification measures.
- Ensure robust subcontract change control procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Monitor and ensure prompt resolution of final accounts, including settlement of Compensation Events (variations), claims and disputes.
- Prepare estimates & tender submissions including the interpretation of specifications & preambles Representation of the financial and contractual interests to your employer and/or client in progress meetings or the like. Willing to take initiative to respond to market/customer requirements.
- Manage the preparation and articulation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports.
