Location: Exeter city centre

Ad-hoc Support required for Plymouth branch

Full Time: 35 hours

Work pattern: 09:00 - 16:30 and every other Saturday 09:00 - 13:00

What a typical day will look like:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for personal and business banking customers within the branch and supporting customers through our digital transformation
  • Supporting customers across a variety of channels including in person, telephone and secure messages
  • Identifying and addressing customer’s needs
  • Cash management control
  • Utilizing various internal systems to update customer records
  • Encouraging customers to schedule an appointment with our dedicated Personal Banking Team to discuss additional products and services
  • Protecting and educating customers against fraud and scams
  • Engaging with customers from various backgrounds including those who may be vulnerable
  • Working towards personal/team targets and objectives
  • Adhering to day to day regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Working as part of a team, sharing and identifying ways to improve the service provided by the branch
  • Participating in community outreach work and charity projects
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience gained within a customer service environment is essential
  • Knowledge of cash handling
  • A passion for excellent customer service with a positive, enthusiastic and resilient approach
  • Proven success in achieving targets, objectives or deadlines
  • Computer literate with the ability to navigate quickly and confidently around multiple systems whilst speaking to customers
  • Proficiency in assisting customers from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment

As a Digital Product Owner, the role holder will provide vision and direction of product delivery, creating innovative solutions that meet the needs of the customer and wider Business stakeholders whilst delivering the Bank Digital strategy. They will translate user needs from various sources (i.e marketing & data analysis, stakeholder requirements and strategic priorities) into a vision for the product scrum team. Create and refine a prioritised backlog and release roadmap that represents that vision and create, evolve and deliver new, innovative and engaging propositions that drive customer engagement, self‑service behaviour and customer advocacy. The role holder will be the main customer advocate within the scrum team delivery, driving the Customer Experience of digital propositions working with the UX team and driving business change to maximise the delivery of business benefits and outcomes. The role holder provides input to the strategic digital roadmap central to the organisations strategy; resulting in a competitive digital proposition and delivering business benefits. They also act as the interface between the scrum team(s) and the business by representing the teams at relevant forums and meetings.

  • In‑depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles and the ability to positively promote the benefits of working this way to stakeholders, cross‑functional teams and the wider digital team
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills; proven evidence of identifying, creating and delivering successful engaging digital propositions that drive customer advocacy and self‑service customer behaviours
  • Confident in technological advancements across multiple devices
  • Creative thinker with a vision – ability to create and shape innovative ideas into engaging customer propositions
  • Strong understanding of change value drivers across customer, commercial, regulatory and risk dimensions

We promote a hybrid working environment, which means you will work at our office in Manchester roughly once a week and then remotely from home. The Role:

The position of Planning & Assurance Analyst is a key role to support the Bank’s Change Investment Portfolio. The role will report directly to the Head of Assurance, requiring excellent stakeholder management at all levels. You will create, enhance and continuously improve the Bank Change Methodology (BCM) and associated processes, embedding best practice. You will undertake analysis into MI produced by the projects and programmes across the Portfolio and produce reports into the relevant governance meetings and to the Regulators.

Key Accountabilities:

Excellent experience of a range of Change methodologies and delivery approaches including Prince 2, Agile and Scrum- Support the creation of Board & ExCo submissions on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis

  • Support the risk management activities and reporting

• Support the Bank’s key governance committees (agenda planning, financial submissions, pack creation, facilitation, minutes, decisions & actions tracking)

• Support the management and tracking of the investment Portfolio spend, including benefits, for the Bank via appropriate process and governance.

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

  • Excellent experience of a range of Change methodologies and delivery approaches including Prince 2, Agile and Scrum.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to assimilate, interpret and then communicate information from many different sources.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with proven ability to define and adapt new and existing processes and documentation/templates/ process maps etc.
  • Proven presentation skills, both written and verbal to senior level audiences
  • Highly organised, with an acute attention to detail
  • Good understanding of project controls and standards within the risk management framework
  • Good understanding of Business strategy, design and planning, desirable
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently as required.
  • Advanced skills in MS office applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MSProject, SAFe
  • SQL and / or VBA skills an advantage
