Payroll Manager, Private Equity firm, Perm, £75,000 - £90,000+ bens + bonus

A growing Private Equity firm are looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team.

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the firm’s payroll, and will partner closely with HR, Finance and other teams to ensure a seamless payroll operation, globally. Reporting into the Finance Director. They are looking to offer the successful candidate between £75,000 - £90,000

Main Duties:

  • Ensure al the date is correct for payroll processing
  • Compliance and Reporting - Ensure compliance with all internal and external local payroll regulations and laws
  • Responsible for the staff budget and half yearly reforecasts
  • Significant input in the bi-annual salary and bonus review cycle
  • Key input in annual remuneration committee meetings
  • Lead on the companies compensation review processes
  • Conduct company wide annual compensation benchmarking to propose salary and bonus banding to ensure the company remains competitive and in line with the market trends
  • Complete regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure compliance
  • Stay updated on change in payroll laws and implemented changes as necessary
  • Ensure all payroll balance sheet reconciliations are completed
  • Work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data, and handle payroll related reports and data to senior management

Person Specification:

  • CIPP qualified or QBE
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience with Workday or Anaplan is desirable but not necessary
  • Proven experience in a previous payroll management role

Accounts Payable Manager | Investment Manager | £50,000 - £55,000 | London and Hybrid

We are collaborating with an established investment management firm that is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join its team. The firm has an excellent history of successful investing and numerous exciting changes planned for the upcoming year.

The role will be managing the AP team with the end-to-end accounts payable process. They are looking for a collaborative, proactive individual who is comfortable with communicating with Senior Stakeholders.

Your Role:

  • Managing the AP team, which currently consists of five members: another AP Manager, two AP Analysts, an AP contractor, and an AP Assistant.
  • Processing daily tasks, including payment runs, invoices, and supplier queries etc.
  • Involvement in P2P system implementation.
  • Producing the quarterly and annual appraisals for the team.

Your Skills:

  • Pro-active worker with great interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and stakeholders.
  • Must have previous line management experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills and a high attention to detail.

Payment Analyst | Investment Management Firm | £45-£50,000 | 10 month FTC | London and Hybrid

A growing investment management firm is looking for a Payment Analyst to join their Client Operations & Finance team on a 10m FTC. They have over £3 billion under management with a diverse range of investment strategies over various sectors, including VC, Private Credit, Energy, and Social Housing.

Your role will be supporting the wider team and will be tasked with payment processing, client reconciliations/onboarding, and other tasks as required. You will be results-oriented and proactive with an exceptional attention to detail.

Your Role:

  • Overseeing the transaction reporting, reconciliations, investments and monitoring; ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assisting with process optimisations through identifying inefficiencies with the payments and transactions processes, and implementing solutions and streamlining processes.
  • Supporting the onboarding and offboarding process of clients.
  • Performing complex data analysis to generate insights and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Supporting the wider Clients Operations team with ad-hoc tasks.

About you:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within Financial Services
  • Strong Excel and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to start immediately

We’re on the lookout for a Group Tax Accountant to join a growing, ambitious wealth management company. Based in London, you’ll play a key role in managing all aspects of the Group's tax compliance and reporting across the UK. What You’ll Do:

  1. Manage the Group’s corporation tax, VAT, employment taxes, and other tax compliance across the UK and Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man).
  2. Work closely with external tax providers, HMRC, and internal teams to ensure compliance and manage tax governance.
  3. Lead VAT restructuring projects, manage M&A tax due diligence, and provide advice on tax implications.
  4. Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support on tax reporting, ensuring tax balances are correctly reflected in reports to the Executive Committee.
  5. Guide the HR team on employment-related taxes and assist with ad-hoc tax advice.

What I'm Looking For:

  1. 3 years post qualified tax experience
  2. Qualified in tax or accounting (CTA, ACA, ACCA, ICAS).
  3. Strong understanding of UK VAT and international tax
  4. Experience with tax accounting standards (IAS 12) and M&A tax is a plus.

The Group Tax Manager is paying £75,000 - £85,000 with benefits and bonuses on top.

We are seeking a highly capable and forward-thinking Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be instrumental in delivering financial reporting and insights to inform strategic decision-making and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking transactions, and account reconciliations.
  2. Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  3. Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  4. Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; perform variance analysis to support operational and strategic reviews.
  5. Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., VAT, HMRC submissions, Companies House filings).
  6. Enhance and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures.
  7. Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, accountants, and banking partners.
  8. Assist in preparing investor reports, board packs, and support future funding initiatives.
  9. Provide financial and commercial analysis to inform business strategy and executive decision-making.
  10. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement or concern.

  12. Drive efficiency through automation and continuous improvement of finance processes.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  3. Strong technical accounting expertise and up-to-date industry knowledge.
  4. Commercially astute with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with financial modeling is advantageous.
  6. Proven experience partnering with senior management to influence business performance.
  7. Proficient in Xero accounting software; familiarity with QuickBooks is desirable.
  8. Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Relationship lead accountancy and finance recruitment expert servicing Consumer and Technology industries

A well-established business with a growing finance function is looking for a capable, ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their team on a hybrid basis from their Hertfordshire location.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build their career in finance, take on more responsibility over time, and contribute to wider systems and process improvements.

You’ll be joining a finance team led by a senior leader who’s passionate about mentoring and helping individuals play to their strengths.

We will be reviewing CVs throughout the process so please apply as soon as you are able to.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking full ownership of bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Managing debtors and creditors, resolving discrepancies and maintaining clean ledgers.
  • Supporting month-end and audit preparation, including producing journals and clear documentation.
  • Assisting with revenue recognition and deferred income calculations (weekly and monthly).
  • Handling employee expenses and credit card reconciliations with a keen eye for detail.
  • Contributing to supplier onboarding, invoice queries, coding, and payment run support.
  • Playing a hands-on role in wider finance improvement projects

Must-haves:

  • At least 1–3 years’ experience in a finance support or accounting assistant role.
  • Strong bank reconciliation experience and attention to transactional detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables, filters, and lookups).
  • Organised, communicative, and comfortable working to deadlines.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Exposure to ERP systems (especially Dynamics 365).
  • Experience working with foreign currency transactions.
  • A second language is an advantage, but not essential.
