How you’ll make an impact:

This is an integral role within the Travelport Controllership team, which is responsible for all external reporting, technical accounting and accounting policy setting for the Travelport group. This role will report to the Technical Accounting Manager and will be responsible for supporting the controllership team on all complex/technical accounting areas- from setting the policies to supporting and delivering the implementation, as well as providing ad-hoc accounting advice on operational and corporate accounting matters. This role will also play a key role in driving our global statutory accounts compliance process, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and auditors.

Your role in action:

  • Provide guidance on all technical accounting issues as they arise around the business including:
  • Lease accounting
  • Pension Accounting
  • Revenue recognition on airline and other revenue agreements
  • Internally developed software and capitalization
  • Annual intangible asset impairment analysis and other valuations
  • Pensions accounting
  • Supporting the implementation of any new standards, maintaining accounting policies, and ensuring compliance
  • Coordination of global statutory accounts process and management of relationship with outsourced accounting providers and auditors

  • Strong accountant with deep knowledge of IFRS, including in a public company environment

We’re hiring a Senior Director, Cloud Engineering to lead the cloud engineering capability behind Travelport’s next-generation platform. This role needs someone who has built and operated serious AWS environments, understands large-scale systems, and can create the platform conditions for frontier AI products to work in production.

Your role in action
  • Lead the cloud engineering strategy for the Travelport platform, with a focus on AWS, automation, resilience, security and cost.
  • Build stronger engineering standards for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, AWS account management, platform guardrails and developer enablement.
  • Improve the operational model for the platform, including observability, incident response, reliability and 24/7 support coverage.
  • Partner with Product and Commercial teams to get ahead of major demand changes, customer commitments and platform capacity decisions.
  • Work closely with Data Strategy, Architecture, Infrastructure and Cyber teams to support AI, data lakes, data engineering, identity, security and production GenAI use cases.
  • Help define how Travelport scales AI workloads in a cost‑aware, secure and reliable way.
  • Lead cloud cost management and capacity planning, including the engineering decisions that drive AWS spend.
  • Challenge platform norms and simplify where complexity is slowing delivery, increasing risk or adding cost.
Could this be you?
  • You’ve led cloud engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure engineering teams running high‑scale production systems on AWS.
  • You have strong practical knowledge of distributed systems, infrastructure as code, automated deployment pipelines, cloud security, observability and operational reliability.
  • You have managed cloud cost, budget and capacity at scale.
  • You understand the engineering choices that drive AWS spend.
  • You have enough exposure to AI/ML platform needs, data engineering and cloud data platforms to guide real architecture decisions.
  • AWS Bedrock or production GenAI experience would be valuable.
  • You can operate at senior leadership level while staying close enough to the technology to challenge decisions properly.
  • You know how to build strong engineering teams, create clear standards and improve delivery without adding unnecessary process.

This is a key commercial support role to the EMEA commercial sales organization of Travelport. A PE backed, UK headquartered, $2bn global company providing distribution and technology solutions to the $7 trillion global travel and tourism industry. Reporting to the VP Business Partner, this role leads the provision of the full range of commercial and sales pipeline review, budgeting and strategic initiatives support to the EMEA Commercial Team.

Main Accountabilities
  • This role will be the commercial business partner for the EMEA commercial teams and as such lead the provision of
  • Commercial review and challenge to the EMEA leadership team
  • Manage the budget / forecast process with the commercial/finance teams
  • Drive growth initiatives across the region, holding the teams accountable for delivery of revenue opportunities
  • Strategic focus across the region on how Travelport operates across region
  • Provide a strategic lens and insight to the commercial team across the industry and customer base

Working within a matrix environment this will require coordination and close interaction with multiple commercial teams, Regional FPA and Corporate FPA finance teams as well as other departments across Travelport. The role will involve working in depth with the commercial teams on forming deal strategies, financial analysis, Go to market strategies and acting as a trusted adviser to the region to ensure they hit their revenue targets.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education
  • Strong strategic finance and analytical skills with experience of working with commercial teams
  • Excellent commercial acumen including understanding of commercial negotiations and assisting businesses in implementing new commercial business models or operational processes
  • In depth commercial and financial knowledge of travel distribution market, and, in particular, travel agencies, a strong advantage
  • Experience of supporting leaders with full P&L financial responsibilities. Previous experience of working within a matrix environment across multiple departments
  • Proven communicator and relationship building skills that are successfully leveraged to influence change
  • Proficient at interacting with senior executive leadership
  • A team player in proactively developing cross functional support. Must be self-motivated and possess strong initiative
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required, including experience of financial analysis. Prior experience of Cognos BI and Oracle Sales Tools a strong benefit
  • Presentation skills, including ability to focus target audience on the key message whilst also ability to cover often complex topics with excellent subject matter expertise
  • The team will be measured upon its ability to serve its internal customer base, the speed of delivery against timelines set and the reliability of the information that it provides for decisions to be made
  • This role will also have frequent close working relationship across a wide number of Travelport senior leadership teams
Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification is Business Studies or related subject
  • Advanced Excel / PowerPoint / Microsoft skills

Global Procurement Category Leader develops the strategy and directs the implementation of category initiatives for strategic partnerships across key business services categories, including Finance, Legal, Workplace & HR, Marketing & Commercial Operations, Technology and Telecom. The role leads initiatives to optimise category spend, drives strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and procurement activities, and leverages scale across the organisation.

Responsibilities Partner with Business Units and Supplier Relationship Teams

  • Lead and coach internal business partners and team members on the sourcing process, including requirement gathering, market analysis, source identification, proposal evaluation, negotiations, contract creation, contract management, spend analysis, PR creation assistance, contract execution and invoicing/accounting support.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key internal customers and support organisations.
  • Set and achieve clear goals for cost savings, value creation and supplier performance within business unit operating plans.
  • Participate in scorecard development, quarterly business reviews and problem resolution for supplier performance issues.

Strategic Sourcing
