Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Director, Tax Compliance & Reporting to join a small London‑based team and take ownership of UK and international (non‑US) tax matters across the group and its managed portfolio.

Reporting to the US, the role has broad responsibility across:

  • Tax compliance, reporting, structuring, and advisory activity.
  • Overseeing and reviewing external advisors, lead tax audits, managing global transfer pricing, and supporting quarterly close and year‑end processes, including Pillar II requirements.
  • You will work closely with investment, finance and legal teams, acting as a trusted business partner on complex, cross‑border tax issues.
  • Whilst being a smaller part of the role the position also plays a critical role in transactions, leading tax structuring and due diligence for acquisitions, disposals and internal reorganisations with a goal of 3 a year.
  • In addition, the role will have line‑management responsibility for a small, dedicated team contributing to team development, governance and continuous improvement of tax systems and processes.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ relevant tax experience.
  • ATT or CTA (preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge across UK and international tax.
  • Experience managing multi‑jurisdictional compliance and external advisors.
  • Exposure to transfer pricing, structuring and transactional tax.
  • Ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across finance, legal and investment teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a global business, including flexibility for international calls.

You will be proactive, commercially minded and confident operating with autonomy in a senior role, while maintaining high standards of governance and integrity.

The Role

  • Collaborate with investment, finance, and legal teams as a trusted business partner on complex cross-border tax issues.

The Person

You will be a seasoned tax professional with strong international experience, ideally within real estate, investment, or asset management environments.

Key requirements include:

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE CLIENT ACCOUNTANT:

  • Managing the full budget demand process and ensure demands are issued on time.

THE PERSON:

We are keen to speak with candidates who are studying towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent), with c.2-4 years' experience in accounting, audit or finance and seeking an 'in office' role.

The successful candidate is likely to offer:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines across teams and time zones.

Management Accountant. OUR CLIENT is a leading international property investment and development business with a diverse portfolio of UK and European entities. They are seeking an experienced Management Accountant with previous real estate or property sector experience to join their collaborative Finance team on a 14-month fixed-term contract.

Working within a small but highly skilled team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting statutory accounts, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver quarterly management accounts for smaller entities and third-party accounts.
  • Support the Finance Manager in preparing quarterly management accounts for larger entities.
  • Assist with the quarterly group consolidation process and prepare supporting schedules for reporting to the overseas Head Office.
  • Assist in drafting statutory financial statements for multiple entities for review.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure statutory accounts are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review draft financial statements for third-party entities, identifying any significant changes from previously reported accounts.

Audit & Compliance

  • Review VAT and CIS reporting and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Prepare Office for National Statistics (ONS) survey returns and supporting schedules.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
  • Support the implementation and development of finance systems.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge to strengthen the team's capability and productivity.

Team Support

  • Support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting operations, including payment runs and reviewing journal entries.
  • Provide cover for banking activities by entering payment details into the banking portal during staff absences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of the Finance function.

THE PERSON:

  • Essential: Previous experience as a Management Accountant within the real estate, property investment, property development or commercial property sector.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing management accounts.
  • Experience supporting statutory reporting and external audits.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP and group consolidations would be advantageous.
  • Experience with VAT and CIS reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

The Role

Working closely with the senior finance team, the Finance Manager will support the finance function across a growing social housing and residential property portfolio. The role combines management reporting, financial control, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, regulatory reporting and managing agent oversight , alongside exposure to portfolio integration and acquisition-related work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
  • Assisting with statutory accounts, year-end reporting and audit support

  • Reviewing and reconciling managing agent statements and property transactions
