Your mission

JOB TITLE: Physical Infrastructure Access Administrator

JOB LOCATION: Coalisland - in office

THE JOB

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our business as we continue to grow. Working within a busy team, you will work closely with others to ensure all the administration tasks related to our network build are completed in line with the Openreach PIA requirements. Full training will be provided.

Your profile

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be responsible for the following areas and activities:

  • Completion of administration tasks within a timely and accurate manner
  • Reading cable maps and adding to Openreach Map (training will be provided)
  • Assist in the production of reports as required by management and wider functions
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, and to standards for safety and compliance
  • Responding to queries and requests from across the business to support delivery
  • Quality checking TRR maps on Arc
  • Submitting daily whereabouts to the client, including extracting all whereabouts and populating onto excel
  • Submitting weekly whereabouts, including details of where future works will be and uploading information onto Openreach (OR) portal
  • Creation of Network Adjustments using both Arc and the OR portal to create A55 packs
  • NOI (notice of Intent) creation to advise OR of the future use of their structure, including extracting information from design maps
  • Identifying missing inventory from the OR portal and raising cases with OR to resolve
  • Gather data on D-poles, identifying which are able to be worked on and which need to be replaced by OR before completing works
  • Create SPO (self-provide order) evidence for submission to evidence work completed is to OR standard
  • Liaise with design to ensure that all design changes are recorded and uploaded to OR portal
  • Reporting of damages of network to Openreach
Why us?

Ideally you will come from an administrative background, you'll be excellent with Excel and work well under minimal supervision within a team.

Experience in an administration role

Able to communicate effectively both internally and externally

IT literate with good knowledge of all MS Office packages

Able to demonstrate the ability to work in a professional environment with high expectations

Telecoms and/or GIS experience is desirable but not essential

JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator
JOB LOCATION: Penrith Cumbria, Office based
TERMS: Permanent full time

THE JOB
To work closely with the Build team and support the planning and scheduling of work in line with the programme team. This role will require constant communication with a number of departments to ensure information is accurate and readily available to support the Build teams.

Your profile

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Engaging with the management team to plan and schedule work in line with the programme ensuring
    • A strong knowledge of programme and works scheduled
    • An early warning of planned changes to forecast
  • Ensuring full visibility of activity and risks across all areas of the project
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation - ensuring documents are updated and maintained
  • Assisting the Build Managers to define the project scope, project activities and dates, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Liaising with the Streetworks team, updating the Streetworks system with relevant information
  • Provide Streetworks administration support in accordance with business operations, ensuring compliance with all elements of Streetworks legislation through effective management of notices, permits and other documents
  • Liaise with operations, local authorities and third parties to arrange bus stop / parking suspensions / road closures, use of portable traffic signalsand other traffic management
  • Support the development of processes, workflows and efficiency improvements
  • Ensure permits are being accepted, and finding out and flagging in advance if there are issues
  • Working with the Build Managers to ensure the correct activities are identified on the project to deliver by ensuring lessons learned are communicated effectively
  • Track project progress and update with daily whereabouts of teams
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress against the detailed project plan - identifying risk and supporting in identifying mitigation activities
  • Reporting project progress, status, and risk in a regular and timely manner, using appropriate tools and techniques, including escalation of risks to management as needed
  • Adherence to all Health and Safety practices
  • Provide support to management as required
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
You will have a proven track record in coordinating projects, strong administration skills, and advanced IT skills.
Experience of planning projects effectively
Strong scheduling experience and administrative background
Able to successfully manage relationships with internal and external facing stakeholders
High-level of IT literacy, proficient user of Microsoft Office tools
Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills
Full UK driving licence
Experience in the Telecommunications sector (desirable)

Your mission

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Splicing of live/in build network using a Fujikura 90s or similar (company provided)
  • Installation of various branded optical fibre cables to various types of splice enclosures, working to Viberoptix required standards
  • Fault finding on existing network, updating and interpreting Splcing schedules.
  • Testing and Splicing fibres to ensure that they are in line with the client quality standards using EXFO - ILM/OTDR
  • Production/Interperet of Fibre characterisation reports (EXFO).
  • Ensure relevant Health & Safety standards are followed and achieved
Your profile

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
  • Ability to produce, update and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings and network design maps
  • Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team
  • Experience of testing and splicing on a Fibre network
  • Experience with various types of splice enclosures Corning BPEO's size 0, 1.5 and 2, Hellermann, Prysmian
  • Confident working at heights and underground network when required
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Full valid driving licence

Your mission

We are looking for a Splicer - Network Maintenance (NI) to ensure the network maintenance of the fibre network in Northern Ireland.

This role will involve proactive maintenance as well as reactive fault and emergency work, which will include weekend work on a rota basis.

The Role:

  • Upkeep and maintain fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards
  • Cabling and splicing to repair faults and damage on the network, most frequently overhead
  • Test, diagnose & fault find on Fibre Network Infrastructures using appropriate equipment (OTDR, light meter, splicing kit, etc)
  • Troubleshoot individual and wider network issues
  • Accurately document and report damage and repair work through internal company systems
  • Adherence to all Health and safety procedures, risk assessments and best practices
  • Correct use of equipment and procedures
  • Maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles to a high standard
  • Follow maintenance schedules to maximise efficiency and meet strict operational deadlines.
  • Overall adherence to health and safety policies and procedures across the business
Your profile

The Person:
  • Knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) process
  • Experience of fibre cabling, splicing and fault finding
  • Experience with overhead infrastructure (poles, ladders, working at height)
  • Ability to use fibre testing equipment and interpret results.
  • Organised and proactive approach to workload
  • Good, positive and professional attitude to work
  • Ability to work in a strong team environment
  • Uses own initiative in problem solving and to develop ideas and practices
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotas or out of hours work.
  • Full UK driving licence
