IT Infrastructure Manager | London (Hybrid 3 days a week in office) | £85,000-£100,000 + 15% Bonus, 10% Pension, £25K annual shares + wider benefits

If so, look no further… KDR have partnered with a leading re-Insurance company listed on the FTSE 250 who are seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager. The primary purpose of the role is to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client’s IT infrastructure while leading a team of the infrastructure Engineers.


We’re working directly with the Head of IT Ops and he’s seeking someone that is as comfortable rolling up their sleeves as they are at having high level strategic conversations and contributing heavily to technology roadmap.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals
  • Contribute to the overall strategy and IT roadmap
  • Oversee an on-prem to azure migration
  • Lead and deliver technology designs to enhance the company’s Infrastructure and Cloud services
  • Manage and support the infrastructure platforms
  • Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and standards
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals and priorities.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity, and proactively address any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Manage vulnerability management


What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience leading Infrastructure Teams
  • Strong technical skills across a broad range of IT disciplines, including network administration, system architecture, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
  • Experience delivering on a migration to Azure cloud
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • PowerShell scripting, process automation using terraform.
  • A good understanding of networking principles as applied to LAN, WAN and Cloud configurations.
  • Knowledge of VMware Virtual server and SAN technologies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
