We are looking for a talented and versatile Sound Engineer and Podcast Producer to work across our brands, Spectator, Apollo Magazine and UnHerd.
The primary responsibility of this role is to elevate and maintain broadcast-quality audio standards across all our podcasts, ensuring every recording is clean, crisp, and professionally mixed. Your day-to-day will involve managing our studio equipment and acoustics, and applying advanced post-production techniques to achieve the best possible sound.
Working closely with our editorial teams, you will oversee the entire audio production lifecycle, from setups to detailed editing, mixing, and mastering. Your technical expertise will be crucial in producing a diverse range of content, from headline-grabbing weekly podcasts to narrative series and live event recordings.
Requirements
- You must have a deep technical knowledge of audio recording, mixing, and mastering principles, with strong hands-on experience with high-end studio microphones, mixing desks, and audio interfaces.
- Strong skills in Adobe Audition and Pro Tools are required; experience with Descript is highly desirable.
- A go-getting problem solver who works well under pressure to deliver a high-quality product.
- Intimate knowledge of studio and field recording equipment, including microphones, mixers, and audio interfaces.
- A flair for creating stand-out audio content, with a keen ear for sound design, music, and pacing.
- Knowledge of the podcasting ecosystem, including hosting platforms (e.g., Acast, Libsyn), distribution, and analytics.
- An understanding of how to package and promote audio content to maximise reach and engagement.
- A strong news and cultural sense, and a clear understanding of the distinct editorial voices of The Spectator, UnHerd, and Apollo.
- Ability to work independently and possess excellent people skills, comfortable coaching guests and hosts to get the best performance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel if needed.

Provide technical advice and assistance in the investigation of digital crime and incidents
As Digital Media Investigator you will support investigations of digital crime and produce written 'Digital and Technology' strategies to guide investigators across Leicestershire Police.
Currently the Digital Media Investigation Unit operates between 07:00 and 18:00 hrs Monday to Friday; and 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, these hours may be subject to change to meet demand. There will also be a requirement to perform on-call duties once fully trained.
What you'll be doing
- Undertake Live Data Forensics work at scene in support of Cybercrime investigations
- Advise and assist in the production of digital evidential packages to a standard usable in court
- Design and develop ongoing change programmes to enhance the forces response to Digital Policing through the development of new practices and protocols
The must haves
- A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree or relevant experience of working to this level
- A practical experience of investigations including those containing a technology focus
- Clear knowledge and understanding of cyber and cyber enabled crime

As the Digital Media Specialist (DMS), you will be tasked with ensuring a luxury online customer experience, through the representation of the Centre’s New and Pre-Owned vehicles, to drive sales and support the achievement of Centre’s objectives.
Reporting to the Used Car Manager, you will create high quality images, video content and digital media to showcase the Centres vehicle stock across online platforms. This role supports the Centre sales team to ensure vehicles are presented to the highest standard, diving customer engagement and customer enquiries.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Photography & Media
- Capture high-quality, consistent images and video walkarounds of all vehicles for online listings
- Ensure all vehicles are photographed promptly once prepared for sale
- Edit and upload images to the Centre website, manufacturer portals, and third-party advertising platforms
- Maintain visual standards by presenting vehicles in a professional and appealing manner
Digital Media & Content
- Produce creative digital content for marketing campaigns, including short videos, social media reels, and promotional graphics
- Assist the Centre Support Manager and Marketing Department, with social media content production and unique creative initiatives that are in line with Porsche Brand and PRG Marketing strategy, to engage audiences and promote stock
Stock Management Support
- Work with the sales and preparation teams to track vehicles through the preparation process to ensure timely photography
- Co-ordinate vehicle valeting and preparation schedules to ensure availability for media capture
- Keep online listings accurate, ensuring all vehicle images, specifications, and details are up to date
- Assist in reporting on stock presentation and online visibility
- Assist with showroom preparation including vehicles, merchandise and displays
- Be proactive in maintaining professional standards of the Centre’s presentation
Equipment & Standards
- Maintain equipment and designated vehicle photo area(s) to professional standards
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines for imagery and media output
- Identify opportunities to improve presentation standards and digital engagement
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Full Driving License held for over 2 years and be aged over 21 years (for insurance purposes)
- Strong photographic skillset and basic video production skill
- Creative eye for detail, composition, and branding
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience in using image editing software (Photoshop)
- Understanding of social media platforms and how to produce successful content
- Flexibility and diary management to work parallel with vehicle preparation timings and scheduling
Desirable Qualifications:
- Able to demonstrate at portfolio of automotive work
- Experience in an automotive retail environment
- Experience in using video editing software (Adobe Premier Pro or Rush)
- Knowledge of automotive retail and used car marketing
