This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rich planning environment across two varied authorities, and build on the success of an existing jointly prepared plan which covers the three administrative areas. The emerging Local Plan is currently being taken through examination, looking to provide a rail led strategy with new settlements, including a garden village at Worcestershire Parkway. Working across the District Councils of Wychavon and Malvern, your work will include:
- Supporting work to take the Plan through examination and to adoption.
- Supporting senior Officers in delivering our strategic sites and new settlements.
- Responding to planning queries from the public and our development management team in the processing of planning applications.
- Supporting the monitoring of the delivery of development across Wychavon and Malvern.

Works closely with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders to drive forward Women’s Aid’s policy programme to achieve change for survivors and specialist domestic abuse services, identifying and responding to the crucial policy issues they face. Develops evidence-based and survivor-led policy positions, and a range of influential policy materials.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Policy Officer:
- Identifying public policy issues that affect survivors of domestic abuse and specialist
