Role Description

In this role, you will work as part of a dynamic care team fulfilling temporary staffing needs for care homes and nursing homes. You will provide high-quality care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for vulnerable adults, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support mobility needs, using equipment safely as required.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Monitor and report on residents’ health and well-being to nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing teams, residents, and families to deliver high standards of care.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, or similar setting is desirable.
  • Minimum of 6-12 months care experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is an advantage.

  • Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment.

Overview

Role: Member of the Patient Participation Group (PPG) at Cromer Group Practice – volunteers must be registered patients of Cromer Group Practice. As a patient at the Practice you will have experienced first hand the medical service delivered. Your experience matters and you can bring different ideas to the Practice to help them treat us, their patients better or to improve what they do in some way. The PPG is looking for members who want to be actively involved in projects or other issues – for example one project was about the introduction of AI technology as part of clinical consultation. By being actively involved you will gain a better understanding of the working of the NHS and its impact on you and your family’s health needs as well as giving the Practice vital feedback.

Time commitment

Time commitment: Formal meetings are held every 2 months and last 1 – 1/2 hours, and are usually held in the middle of the day. Members of the PPG can attend by video as well as in person. Members will also spend time on various healthcare projects in which the PPG will take an interest.

We are are a group of patients of the Cromer Group Practice of different backgrounds all hoping to make a contribution to one of the most important public service.
