Role OverviewAs a Hotel Service Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining the comfort and wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality hospitality and support services. You will work closely with our care and catering teams to ensure the environment is clean, inviting, and meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home, including residents’ rooms, communal areas, and dining spaces.
- Support the catering team by assisting with meal service, clearing tables, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming.
- Laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and distributing residents’ clothes and linens.
- Assist with stocking and replenishing supplies to ensure all areas are well-equipped.
- Respond promptly and politely to residents’ requests related to housekeeping and hospitality services.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate team members to maintain a safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with nursing and care staff to support the overall wellbeing of residents.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in a hospitality, catering, or care environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet the needs of the home and its residents.
- A genuine desire to contribute positively to the quality of life for elderly and vulnerable people.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 .
