Overview of the Department/Section:
Compliance Testing and Quality Assurance (CTQA) is responsible for leading and/or delivering a comprehensive risk based assurance programme across the bank and securities business activities of MUFG in London and the EMEA region. The work of the department extends to conducting reviews, deep dives, communications monitoring, investigations and trade surveillance. Effective delivery of this programme requires collaboration with other Compliance Departments and engagement with all business and operational areas.
Main Purpose of the Role :
To contribute to the overall success of CTQA and its objectives by delivering a risk based programme of second line compliance for MUFG's EMEA region. The role includes support of both the Global Head Offices' assurance programmes and EMEA based testing which may also include opportunities to travel to offices located within EMEA. The role may involve ad-hoc investigations, projects and thematic reviews. You may also be asked to support wider initiatives and undertake other tasks and responsibilities in CTQA.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the compliance assurance and testing programme across MUFG's banking and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.
You will be expected to contribute to the overall compliance assurance and testing framework by:
+ Supporting the swap dealer compliance assurance programme (CFTC / SEC regulations)
+ Acting as or working towards being an SME in the swap dealer regulations
+ Interpreting swap dealer rules and executing testing as directed by Management
+ Supporting the production of any MI in realtion to swap dealer programme and assisting in production of committee materials or other records as requested
+ Leading, managing and owning technically complex, well-articulated and comprehensive reviews of the London and EMEA business areas to provide assurance over compliance and conduct risks to key stakeholders
+ Scoping reviews and developing test programmes
+ Tracking, managing and taking ownership of the remediation of compliance issues by working with relevant business stakeholders
+ Regularly meeting with and engaging with key business stakeholders in order to identify key risk areas and building/maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
+ Contributing to the quarterly and annual risk assessments
+ Working directly with off-shored teams to manage the quality of their output and the delivery of assigned work
+ Guiding, managing and developing off-shored staff as allocated
+ Coaching, supporting and training junior members of the team
+ Providing support to both the Bank and Securities Head Offices
+ Working in collaboration with the First Line to support their assurance programme
+ Providing regular MI for management and Head Office
+ Assisting in the creation and delivery of the department's Assurance Plan by identifying key areas of focus for reviews,
+ Identifying compliance and conduct risk topics and communicating to the team, division and senior management on any industry updates.
+ Supporting and expanding the use of the internal data analytics system to drive testing efficiencies
+ Actively participating in current CTQA projects and wider initiatives such as data analytics, compliance framework implementation, risk rollout in EMEA and globally
+ Representing Core Compliance at relevant committees and forums across the Bankand Securities
+ Supporting the build out of the CTQA's presence in EMEA
+ Other ad-hoc tasks as requested by management
Skills and Experience:
**Functional / Technical Competencies**
+ Excellent Microsoft Office (including Excel) skills
+ Strong relationship management skills, including with senior stakeholders

As a member of the Compliance Department, you will:
+ Support the Head of Compliance Testing Delivery in delivering the Testing & Monitoring Annual Plans.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Provide the following services to the department:
+ Carry out testing and monitoring work with the aim of identifying any attempt by clients of members of staff of the firm to commit financial crime, market abuse, manipulation, or other breach of rules or regulations.
+ Complete the regular and ad-hoc tasks necessary to complete the reviews, monitoring, testing and other work which makes up the department's risk based testing programme.
+ Carry out quality controls over processes and support the work of the Quality Assurance team which is responsible for checking the Compliance department's processes and practices to provide senior Compliance management with confidence that necessary tasks are being delivered satisfactorily.
+ Participate in departmental compliance and conduct risk assessment exercises to help direct the work of the department.
Role and Responsibilities- Technical
+ Act as an SME to lead, manage and own the delivery of technically complex, well-articulated and comprehensive risk-based thematic and desk reviews of the London and EMEA business areas to provide assurance over compliance and conduct risks to key stakeholders
+ Play a leading role in the design and delivery of risk based testing.
+ Supervise the work of staff on the team including coaching, supporting and training junior members of the team and direct line management of a small team.
+ Deliver high quality technical analysis of regulatory risks and requirements applicable to specific activities and embed these into the operations of Testing and support senior management in the identification and mitigation of these risks.
+ Assist Testing management in the creation and delivery of the department's Assurance Plan by identifying key areas of focus for reviews
+ Assist in the periodic review of relevant procedures, systems and controls to determine whether they are up to date and effective to identify/ facilitate remedial action where necessary.
+ Provide regular MI for periodic Compliance reports to senior management.
+ Act as a Compliance SME and/or support staff participation in Compliance technology or regulatory implementation projects, staff training, procedures and administration tasks as necessary.
+ Demonstrate and share knowledge of UK and EU regulatory developments and provide practical and immediate interpretation of regulations in the context of the firm's business activities.
+ Participate in departmental compliance and conduct risk assessment exercises
+ Liaise with stakeholders to address substantive matters arising and escalation and presentation of significant issues to senior management where necessary. Develop strong and lasting relationships via interactions with key stakeholders whether in the front office or in support functions.
+ Track, manage and take ownership of the remediation of compliance & conduct issues by working with relevant business stakeholders
+ Act as an independent challenge to the front office, escalating any concerns about breaches or law, regulation or internal policies.
+ Support delivery of the wider Compliance Division's objectives.

This temp-to-perm role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to quality assurance while developing your expertise.
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
- Starting Rate: 13.49 per hour - Opportunity to upskill and grow with the company
- Temp to Perm!
What You'll Do:
- analyse raw materials and samples using validated analytical techniques with precision and accuracy.
- Follow quality system requirements and procedures to ensure smooth material approval.
- Maintain meticulous records and update the Laboratory Information Management System.
- Conduct safety audits and promote a clean, safe working environment in line with EHS policies.
- Collaborate with team members and take on additional tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a laboratory setting is a plus, but not essential-your enthusiasm to learn is what matters!
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent multitasking skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Description
We are BX2 are currently looking for a Quality Analysist to join one of our fastest growing clients in Salford.
Duties:
- Conduct QA Checks on the production line
- Placing product/ ingredients on hold
- Taking shelf-life samples from line
- Carrying out taste panels
- Collecting samples for labs
- Printing labels for production
Shifts:
Monday to Friday 4:30am till 1pm / 1pm to 10:30pm (rotational shift - MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH SHIFTS)
Ability to understand and act upon written and verbal instructions. Must be a team player with good communication skills, enthusiastic and motivated.
