**What you need**
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) with 5+ years of proven success in Spine surgical or medical capital equipment sales

+ Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with surgeons, allied healthcare professionals, and executive hospital leadership (CEO, CFO, COO)

About the Role
This role sits within the Technology, Commercial and Litigation team which is part of the Legal, Secretariat, Public Affairs and Corporate Sustainability (LSPS) function. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and support across the Aberdeen Group globally on contentious and potentially contentious risk matters, including litigation and disputes, investigations, regulatory matters and complex contractual and strategic arrangements that present commercial, legal, regulatory and reputational risk.
Working closely with business stakeholders, (where applicable) external counsel and colleagues across LSPS, the role will support effective risk identification and management, including in relation to critical technology, AI deployment and digital infrastructure arrangements, while enabling the Groups strategic and commercial objectives. The role requires strong technical capability, sound judgement and the ability to operate confidently across jurisdictions and at senior stakeholder level, including in high-pressure or sensitive situations such as incident management or conduct matters.
The role will actively support modern ways of working across the LSPS function, including the responsible use of technology and AIenabled tools, process improvement and knowledge sharing. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across team and functional boundaries, contributing to an integrated, forwardlooking legal service that supports innovation and data insights while maintaining robust legal and risk standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality legal, technical and commercial advice to business stakeholders in relation to contentious and potentially contentious matters across all businesses in the Aberdeen Group, including litigation and disputes, regulatory matters, investigations, and significant risk issues arising from contractual, commercial or operational arrangements, operating where required at senior management or executive level.
- Support the identification, assessment and mitigation of legal, regulatory and reputational risk, including complex contractual arrangements, strategic partnerships and digital technology or infrastructure services, balancing risk mitigation with the Groups strategic and commercial objectives.
- Advise the business on dispute avoidance, escalation pathways, service failure risk and resolution strategies, and liaising with colleagues across LSPS as appropriate.
- Provide support in relation to the legal and regulatory aspects of incident management, including matters with heightened regulatory, reputational or conduct risk.
- Conduct and oversee internal investigations, including regulatory or conductrelated matters, working with internal stakeholders and external counsel as appropriate.
- Operate effectively across multiple jurisdictions, working with local teams and external counsel as required.
- Contribute to effective governance and decisionmaking in relation to disputes, investigations and other material risk matters affecting the Aberdeen Group.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across LSPS to deliver an integrated, high-quality legal service aligned to the Groups strategic, commercial and financial priorities, including supporting the wider delivery of commercial and technologyrelated legal services where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure legal advice is practical, proportionate and delivers best value to the business.
- Manage the instruction and performance of external law firms and legal suppliers, ensuring appropriate oversight, cost control and efficient use of external resources.

About the Candidate:
- Qualified lawyer with membership of the relevant UK or equivalent legal professional body.
- Circa 35 years post-qualification experience .
- Experience working in or (in an advisory capacity) with large corporates and/or financial services firms , with exposure to contentious matters and experience in assessing, and advising on, risk and strategy in relation to complex commercial or contractual arrangements).

- Have an understanding of legal rules and regulations impacting service provision at to a financial services institution, such as outsourcing, ring-fencing, the appointed representative regime, operational continuity in resolution, or other relevant experience with a financial services institution.

Purpose of the roleTo ensure that the commercial, innovation, technology, real estate, sponsorship, data licensing and service activities (CIT Areas) are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and to help the bank manage legal and reputational risks associated with these activities.
Accountabilities- Development and implementation of best practice legal strategies for risk management and compliance.
- Legal advice and support to the business on CIT Areas, including regulatory advice and advocacy, innovation and technology strategy, and contract drafting, review and negotiation.
- Representation of the bank in legal proceedings related to CIT Areas, such as litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations.
- Creation and review of legal documents including agreements and licenses for commercial services, technology, software, data, real estate, and sponsorship and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Legal research and analysis to stay up to date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the bank across the CIT Areas.
- Developing and delivering training programmes to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements related to the CIT Areas.
- Pro-active identification, communication, and provision of legal advice on applicable laws, rules and regulations (LRRs). Keeping up to date with regards to changes to LRRs in the relevant coverage area. Ensuring that LRRs are effectively allocated to, and adequately reflected within, the relevant policies, standards and controls.
- To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

CCB is seeking a high-performing Services Global Solution Sales (Digital, Technology & Communications) to drive growth across a portfolio of UK and European headquartered clients. This role is focused on leading treasury transformation, originating new business, and delivering integrated financial solutions to some of the fastest-evolving companies in the global economy.
As a senior solution sales, you will combine sector expertise with strong commercial execution, positioning Citi as a strategic partner to clients navigating rapid innovation, platform-based business models, and evolving regulatory frameworks. This includes companies operating in digital platforms, fintech ecosystems, and payment intermediaries, where treasury complexity and regulatory scrutiny are increasingly critical.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Own and execute a portfolio-led growth strategy, delivering revenue through new business origination, cross-sell, and wallet share expansion
+ Build and maintain strategic senior relationships across Digital, Technology, and Communications clients, including fintechs and payment intermediaries
+ Lead end-to-end execution of complex, multi-product mandates, including payments, liquidity, embedded finance, and cross-border treasury solutions

**Qualifications**
+ Experience in corporate/commercial banking or financial services with a strong track record in solution sales and revenue generation
+ Deep expertise in payments, liquidity management, cross-border transaction banking, and Trade solutions
+ Strong understanding of Digital, Technology, and Communications sectors, including fintech, platform business models, and payment ecosystems
+ Experience working with or advising payment institutions, e-money firms, or intermediaries, including knowledge of safeguarding, client fund flows, and settlement processes
+ Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting payments and digital finance (e.g., Payment Services Directive, e-money regulations, safeguarding rules)
+ Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, and close complex, multi-country, multi-product deals
+ Strong commercial acumen with understanding of cash flow, balance sheet optimisation, and scaling treasury for high-growth firms
+ Proven ability to operate as both a client leader and internal mentor/influencer within a matrixed organisation
