A Specialist Provision in Reading are looking for a patient, proactive and compassionate graduate to join their team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will provide one-to-one support, assist in managing emotional well-being and help create a positive learning environment for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. The students you will be supporting have a range of complex mental health difficulties, including struggles when regulating their own emotions, low self-esteem and attachment issues. You will help show the students the value of learning and education, as well as the benefits of positive decision making, and keeping themselves safe. You will also help implement intervention strategies, influenced by Psychological and Criminological theory, and improve their interpersonal skills, to help them when they leave school in the future.

• Provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH needs.
