The firm trades globally across multiple asset classes and investment approaches. The primary focus of this role will be on the buildout and operations of a next generation security master system. The successful candidate will lead the security master development team, overseeing the quality, performance, and scalability of the teams’ deliverables.

Key Responsibilities –

• Data Architecture and Design: Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives.
• Develop and maintain the data architecture for the security master system (secmaster), including data models, metadata, and data flow diagrams.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the secmaster team of python/sql engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

Qualifications –

• Deep experience with security master systems (secmaster) in a hedge fund or investment management context. Deep knowledge of financial instruments in a variety of asset classes: equities, options, futures, credit products, etc.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with the SQL Server platform and T-SQL querying. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Expert-level knowledge of building ETL processes in Python. Expert-level knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in a Python / SQL Server environment

**Job Description**
Due to a number of project wins, seeking a Data Centre Architect to join our high-performing and diverse Urbanism + Planning team. This is a rare opportunity to combine leadership, client engagement and project delivery at scale, while contributing to some of Australia's most impactful mission critical Data Centre projects.
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ Provide project leadership and technical oversight on a range of Data Centre projects - guide multidisciplinary teams through complex architectural commissions, set clear design direction, and collaborate closely with our Brisbane colleagues to drive successful outcomes.
+ Drive excellence in project delivery by overseeing major Data Centre initiatives and projects ensuring design quality, innovation, and outstanding client satisfaction.
+ Partner with sector leads to win major pursuits, deepen client relationships, and position the firm as the partner of choice for large-scale, technical projects.
+ Champion design and technical standards by delivering sustainable, innovative solutions, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and mentoring staff to elevate studio-wide capability.
+ Strengthen business performance through effective resource allocation, budget and risk management, and contribution to strategic growth and market positioning of our architecture offering.

+ Registered Architect with ideally 15+ years of experience alongside current professional registration.

Shape the Future of Data Architecture for a Global Corporate & Investment Bank

An exciting opportunity to work with an internationally recognised financial institution as a head of data architecture to define and execute the enterprise‑wide data architecture strategy across its Corporate & Investment banking business.

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the bank's most strategic transformation initiatives, establishing the target‑state data architecture that will power AI, advanced analytics, regulatory excellence and business growth across global markets.

You'll work alongside senior executives across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk and Data to transform how one of the world's leading financial institutions manages and leverages data.

The Opportunity

As the Head of Data Architecture, you will:

• Develop and execute the end-to-end Data Architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
• Lead the architecture workstream across major transformation and digitisation programmes.
• Define enterprise data domains, ownership models and logical data models.
• Design scalable data architectures that enable AI, analytics and regulatory reporting.
• Drive data sourcing strategies and oversee integration across complex technology landscapes.
• Establish enterprise standards for metadata, business glossary, data lineage and data modelling.
