Job Description

Google Business Development Manager - London Reference Code: -en_GBContract Type:PermanentProfessional Communities: Sales & Client Management & Solution Design

About the job your considering

This is a mid to senior-level 360 sales role: driving lead generation, qualifying clients, and supporting proposal development by understanding client-specific requirements. You will own the entire sales cycle from opportunity identification and qualification through to closing new business.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team focused on one of the fastest-growing opportunities in the technology market. In this role, you will leverage your industry insight, proven track record, and knowledge of Google Cloud technologies. In particular, driving, digital transformation, modern infrastructure, and cutting-edge Data/AI solutions across our high-growth Mid-Market account portfolio. Using the wider technology consulting market to acquire new customers, the ideal candidate will utilize Sogetis market-leading offerings and global delivery capability.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of navigating mid-market cycles, characterised by high velocity, multifaceted stakeholders, and rapid scaling needs. Crucially, you must possess strong, active relationships and hands-on experience co-selling directly with Google Clouds internal sales organization (Field Sales Representatives, Partner Sales Managers, and Customer Engineers) to successfully co-sell, leverage Google funds, and maximise marketplace value.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between company offices, client sites, and home (not 100% remote).

Your Role

.Execute Mid-Market Growth: Own the end-to-end sales lifecycle for mid-market accounts, driving new logo acquisition and expanding existing GCP footprints to consistently meet or exceed annual recurring revenue (ARR) targets.

Navigate the Google Cloud Ecosystem: Act as the primary interface to Google Cloud's internal Mid-Market sales teams. Coordinate joint go-to-market strategies, align account plans with Googles territory maps, and drive co-selling velocity.

Leverage Google Programs & Marketplace: Masterfully utilize Google Cloud partner incentives, funding programs (e.g., funding for POCs/assessments), and the Google Cloud Marketplace to accelerate deal closures and optimize client spend.

Deliver Consultative Value: Position Google Cloud's core pillarsincluding Infrastructure Modernization, Data Analytics, Security, and Gemini Enterprise as strategic business enablers rather than just IT commodities.

C-Suite Engagement: Build trusted relationships with mid-market executives (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, and CTOs), aligning cloud adoption strategies with their immediate business goals and long-term financial scaling.

Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead internal matrixed pursuit teams consisting of Cloud Architects, Solution Engineers, and Delivery Managers to deliver compelling, technically sound proposals.

Your Skills and experience

.CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is an advantage.

Experience: Experience of B2B technology sales experience, with dedication to selling Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions or related technology consulting services.

Mid-Market Mastery: A proven track record of managing a high-volume, mid-market territory, demonstrating the agility to balance velocity with strategic, complex deal structuring (typically 250k1M+ ARR deals).

The Google Network: Deep, verifiable experience working directly alongside Google Cloud internal personnel. You know how Google sells, how their internal sales compensation models function, and how to successfully navigate their internal ecosystem to unlock resources.

Sales Acumen: Exceptional proficiency in modern sales methodologies with a strong discipline in pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting.

Technical Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of Google cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI/ML capabilities, allowing you to speak credibly with both technical engineers and business stakeholders.

You’ll sit at the intersection of alliance activation and enterprise sales, co‑selling with Braze’s EMEA field teams on cross‑channel customer engagement and lifecycle CRM, and with Google’s partner and cloud teams on Google Marketing Platform, Google Cloud and Vertex AI‑enabled data transformation.

Why join us
  • Two strategic alliances with strong market momentum (Braze and Google).
  • High‑impact role: you’ll shape how we co‑sell and scale partner‑led growth across EMEA.
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders at partners and enterprise clients.
  • Work with a delivery organisation that can execute complex data, AI and CRM transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own partner‑sourced and partner‑influenced opportunities end‑to‑end (pipeline, progression and close) against an annual quota.
  • Build senior relationships with Braze and Google EMEA teams to generate referrals and unlock co‑sell support.
  • Run joint account planning, pursuits and partner cadence (QBRs, deal reviews, escalation) across priority markets.
  • Lead sales cycles from qualification to close (RFI/RFP, executive storytelling, commercials and contract finalisation).
  • Position WPP’s delivery value across CRM, martech, data and AI (Braze, Google Marketing Platform, Google Cloud, Vertex AI).
  • Identify and progress net‑new logo opportunities in priority verticals (e.g., retail, financial services, travel & hospitality, consumer goods).
  • Use partner programmes (registration, incentives, co‑investment) to protect and accelerate deals.
  • Coordinate a simple, repeatable EMEA co‑sell engine: playbooks, collateral and enablement for local teams.

  • Maintain high pipeline/CRM hygiene and provide clear weekly forecasting, risks and next actions.
Success Measures
  • Annual quota attainment across Braze‑ and Google‑influenced revenue.
  • Healthy pipeline coverage (target 3x+) and predictable forecasting.
  • Partner‑sourced opportunity flow: quality referrals registered, progressed and converted.
  • Strategic joint coverage of priority accounts with partner field teams (target 15+ across both partners).
  • Evidence of a repeatable co‑sell engine (playbooks, collateral, enablement and partner cadence).
What you’ll bring
  • Proven track record closing complex technology/professional services deals across EMEA (typically £500k+; 6–18 month cycles).
  • Strong experience in partner‑led selling and co‑sell motions (joint account planning, deal protection, partner field relationships).
  • Commercial understanding of Braze and its role in the martech ecosystem (positioning and competitive landscape).
  • Working knowledge of Google Marketing Platform and Google Cloud, plus partner ecosystem dynamics.
  • Executive‑level sales skills: confident with C‑suite/VP stakeholders and able to translate technical capability into business outcomes.
  • Disciplined pipeline generation and management (outreach, partner referrals, events, CRM hygiene, forecasting).
