BASED: Polar Speed UPS, Exeter Depot, Unit 8, DG Units, Crofton Road, Marsh Barton, Exeter, EX2 8QW
Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week - 6.30am start
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle
2. Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle
3. Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit
4. Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to your line manager
5. Ensure the vehicle is always at the correct temperature
6. Delivering and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and home delivery patients.
7. Physical checking and scanning of all consignments at the delivery point
8. Managing the returns process of all consignments.
Specialised knowledge/Requirements:
1. Experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact
2. Previous home and/or hospital delivery experience desired but not essential
3. Category B Licence with ideally no more than 3 points
4. Minimum 2 years driving experience
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
6. Flexibility and prepared to work additional hours to suit the needs of the business which may be of an urgent medical nature
