Based at our Glenrothes manufacturing site, you will complete a structured Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration while supporting the Quality team with the preparation, control and management of documentation throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Projects, Sales and Inspection, helping to ensure customer documentation and certification packages are completed accurately and delivered on time.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop business administration skills while gaining valuable knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes and customer requirements within a global engineering organisation.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in preparing customer documentation and certification packages.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, databases and document control systems.
  • Support the compilation and checking of manufacturing documentation.
  • Liaise with Quality, Production, Projects, Sales and Inspection teams to obtain required documentation.
  • Maintain filing, archiving and document traceability.

What You Will Do *

This is a transactional procurement role where the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of a number of orderbooks covering both high and low complex components and assemblies.

Main Duties (Leading and/or Supporting):
  • Executes purchase orders and amendments within existing contracts and pricing agreements

Essential Skills:
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, Procurement, Commodity and/or related field

  • Develop and implement GleP specific quality concepts and solutions based on DC purchasing quality concepts (e.g. Incoming inspection standards; Claim process, measurement concepts; Execution of plant quality plan.). Further develop existing procedures, methods, and systems
  • Leading of PUQ project inside Glenrothes and support DC PUQ initiatives with transfer into Glenrothes
  • Support supplier in quality methods and standards
  • Coordinates suppliers claim activities, covering containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification
  • Analysing internal quality issues and suppliers and develop strategies for quality improvement. Preparing the necessary reports and documentation. Making decisions on quality in borderline and exceptional cases with initiating and monitoring of corrective actions.
  • Serves as the primary interface to suppliers and cross functional stakeholders (Engineering, Production, Logistics, PUE) for claim resolution
  • Ensures appropriate PUQ Claim support is provided to Purchasing Engineering (PUE) projects
  • Maintains failure cost transparency, prepares debiting documentation, and tracks claim related KPIs
  • Ensures compliant documentation, system entries (e.g. SAP and quality systems), and representation of PUQ in regular operational meetings
  • Preparation and managing of quality meeting with internal partners and external suppliers
  • Availability and willingness to undertake short notice travel to domestic and non domestic supplier locations in line with business requirements
Qualifications
  • Technical education (e.g. Technician, Mechanical Engineer / Craftsperson with min. NVQ Level 3 or comparable education) is preferable.
  • Proven experience in managing supplier quality claims and escalations
  • Strong knowledge of problem solving methods and standard QM-Tools (FMEA; APQP; SQPM SPC,)
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Structured, assertive, and solution-oriented working style
