We are seeking a Area Sales Manager to join our skilled team at Portakabin based in Hamilton, covering the Paisley Region, carrying out structured business development activities to include local and national campaigns.
We are looking for a hands-on, commercial and results driven sales manager who has a passion for developing new business, face to face meetings, uncovering complex clients' needs and achieving orders, whilst always delivering excellent customer service.
You will promote the Company's hire business, to include our range of modular toilet, shower and changing room buildings as well as added value products and services from across the Division. You will ensure that our Customer Charter is followed.
The role is target driven with the key focus on order winning. Internal IT systems (CRM& SharePoint) will need to be mastered to ensure commercial information is relevant and up to date.
Working alongside Projects and Service teams in the region, as well as Divisional support functions, the role holder will be an efficient communicator with a strong teamwork ethic.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will:
* Be accountable for the delivery set targets for the year for a particular catchment area including contract value, order numbers, and visits as well as other commercial KPI's.
* Carry out structured business development, local and national campaigns, including "cold calling" within the area designated, in order to achieve order targets.
* Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
* Generate orders by attending Customer sites.
* Maximise added value for every opportunity through promoting the full range of Building Services.
* Complete customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
* Ensuring compliance to business and quality processes for own catchment area, including ISO 9001.
* Effectively use internal systems (e.g. SAP, CRM) to ensure customer information is kept up to date and systems are aligned.
* As directed liaise with Service Manager with regard to refurbishment, fitting out, deliveries, rectifications and terminations.
* Expedition of monies owed, in line with company guidelines and procedures.

We are looking for someone who has:
* Proven commercial experience, including face to face sales experience and business development,
* Strong experience of carrying out business development activities (campaign calling and cold calling),
* Strong ability to work independently and drive in new initiatives,
* Strong B2B sales experience,
* Solid understanding of various software packages including MS Excel and PowerPoint,
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above, education to A Level standard is desirable
* Ability to keep up to date with competitor information and market trends.

What will I be doing?You’ll be:
- A communicator: You are our master of diagnostics and fundamental in delighting your customers! You're comfortable sharing your knowledge and information in a way that your customers understand the situation and feel safe that their needs will be taken care of
- A self-starter: You will be content working independently, as well as collaborating as part of a team, driving to different locations in all weathers
- A fixer/problem solver: You will revel in utilising your technical expertise to solve a variety of issues. Whether that’s fixing the vehicle by the roadside or recovering the vehicle to a garage, you are the solution bringer and enable your customer to get on with their day
You’ll need :
- NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
- It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
- To be happy working shifts, which could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

We are recruiting for a Premium Finance Underwriter to join our wider Underwriting team. You will provide support on implementing esure’s strategy to optimise customer outcomes and profit for the premium finance product. If you have experience in an Underwriting role and knowledge of Insurance or wider Financial Services products this could be a great role for you.
What you’ll do:
- Input into our projects / programmes related to Premium Finance product whilst also providing input to the development and delivery of our product roadmaps.
- Maintain and grow your understanding of the current and emerging opportunities and risks of Premium Finance products.
- Build strong relationships with departments across the business (especially with our claims department) to enable provision of effective repair/replace and claim defence strategies.
- Work with Pricing to assess and gain an understanding of the impact, risks and opportunities presented by developments within Premium Finance and our other key insurance products.
- Maintain an appropriate underwriting footprint via appropriate pricing, aggregator filters, underwriting rules.
- Devise rules and analyse output of underwriting tools to detect and remove unwanted, suspicious and potentially fraudulent business at the ‘front door’.
- Use data/technology to deliver intelligence throughout customer lifetime to become a market leader and drive exponential growth
What we’d love you to bring:
- Great underwriting experience with knowledge of either insurance or wider financial services products.
- Any experience with premium finance products or a credit type background would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of using products and propositions to drive customer appeal and loyalty.
- Ability to identify and anticipate potential business opportunities, risks and threats.
- You will be inquisitive and strive to understand what data is telling us to in order for our business to make informed decisions.
- Someone who can successfully build strong relationships and partnerships with other business areas.
The Interview Process (subject to change):
- You’ll start with an introductory call with one of our Recruitment Partners. This is a ‘get to know you session’ and for you to explore the position in more detail.
- 1st stage interview: 1 hour with our Portfolio Underwriting Lead and another senior member of the Underwriting function
