This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in advising on sustainable farming practices, optimizing crop yields, and improving soil health through scientific research and data-driven recommendations. This role requires a deep understanding of plant physiology, soil science, crop management, and advanced agricultural technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for advancing agricultural sustainability and productivity. You will be involved in developing research methodologies, analyzing complex datasets, and translating findings into practical, actionable advice for farmers and agricultural businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic management plans for various crops.
  • Conduct in-depth soil analysis and interpret results to provide recommendations for fertilization, irrigation, and soil conservation.
  • Research and advise on the adoption of sustainable farming practices to enhance soil health and environmental stewardship.
  • Evaluate the performance of new crop varieties, fertilizers, and crop protection products.
  • Utilize remote sensing and GIS technologies for crop monitoring and data analysis.
  • Provide technical support and expert advice to farmers, agricultural consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and workshops on best agronomic and soil management practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in agricultural science, technology, and policy.
  • Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners on joint projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical papers, and presentations on research findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in agronomy, soil science, or crop production.
  • Strong knowledge of soil chemistry, physics, biology, and their impact on plant growth.
  • Experience with experimental design, data collection, and statistical analysis in an agricultural context.
  • Proficiency in using agricultural software, including GIS and remote sensing tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
  • A passion for sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
  • Experience in advising diverse agricultural operations is a plus.
