What the role entails
Team Leadership:
Supervise and work alongside the Ranger team to keep Grafham Water safe, clean, operational, and well-presented.
Carry out and record health and safety checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
Hands-on operations:
Help with everything from repairing and servicing facilities to groundskeeping, cleaning, and boat maintenance.
Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
Customer engagement:
Welcome and assist visitors and anglers on-site, answering questions and ensuring they have a great experience.
Promote the Anglian Water brand and all our water parks.
Support events and activities:
Prepare and deliver park events, including setting up, practical logistics, and on-the-day support.
Teamwork:
Work closely with management to deliver high standards across the park.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds a full, valid driving licence.
Is passionate about Grafham Water and everything the park has to offer.
Enjoys physical work, outdoors in all seasons.
Brings strong hands-on maintenance and practical skills (e.g. fencing, repairs, facilities upkeep).
Has proven team leadership skills and can motivate others by example.
Is a solution focussed problem solver.

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team based in the Peterhead and surrounding area (postcode AB42). In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the grounds surrounding hazardous installations, such as substations and gas terminals, for various prestigious clients across our extensive contract portfolio.
There may be an occasional requirement to stop away from home when the sites you work on are a distance from your home address.
Please Note: A driving licence is essential for this role therefore candidates must possess this to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a two-person operations team, closely supported by our dedicated contract teams.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained throughout all operations.
