**Your role:**
We are looking for a Graduate Process Engineer to be based in Belfast, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.
We have an exciting opening for an aspiring Process Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team, where you will have the opportunity to contribute on high profile projects, both locally and nationally. You will develop your technical skills and knowledge alongside senior engineers, gaining invaluable exposure to the water industry whilst working on a range of developments from wastewater treatment and water recycling to clean water solutions - exploring the potential of nature-based solutions is a top priority.
You will analyse and interpret data to inform project decisions, contribute to the design and development of engineering solutions, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. We work on the whole project lifecycle from optioneering through to detailed design and implementation, and there is a possibility of site visits and investigations to broaden your understanding.

This exciting pipeline of work, coupled with the scale of opportunity across the AMP8 cycle in the UK - **including supporting Southern Water** - means that we are seeking Process Engineers at all levels with experience in the water/wastewater industry to join us.
As well as delivering work locally, you will have the opportunity to support Southern Water's AMP8 Professional Services Framework in delivering vital resilience and improvement schemes across the South of England. This includes identifying and designing nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reduce overflows, boost biodiversity, and spearhead best practices in hydraulic modelling, water recycling, and digital innovation.
In this pivotal role, you will play a leading part in delivering ground-breaking Wastewater projects from inception through to construction. You will leverage your technical expertise to support Project Managers and ensure high-level execution - meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives while exceeding client expectations.
You will also be involved in mentoring & developing a team of Process Engineers across the region and nurturing strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams throughout the business.
**About You**
+ A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or equivalent)
+ Ideally Chartered with demonstrable experience in the water industry
+ Experience working in a design and construction environment preferable
+ Experience in key process skills, including: process calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development
+ The ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions and guide project execution effectively
+ Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Experience managing staff and fostering a culture of continuous learning

Job summary:
We are looking for Research Engineers who will work with large scale datasets from different modalities, including biomolecular data, such as proteins and DNA, 2D and 3D images or graph-structured data. You will design and implement advanced ML architectures and workflows encompassing multimodal generative models and physics-based modelling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced ML architectures
- Develop robust model evaluation pipelines.
- Optimize model architectures for performance and reliability.
- Drive best practices in code quality, reproducibility, and collaboration.
- Build and maintain large-scale ML systems that process biomolecule datasets.
