**We are looking for:**
A research scientist to join our Adhesives Research & Innovation team in Wrexham, UK. You will lead R&D projects focused on developing advanced adhesive bonding and surfacing technologies to drive future business growth.
**We count on you for:**
+ Lead the development of new adhesive products and technologies, especially in thermosetting polymers
+ Manage multiple R&I projects and ensure timely progress and reporting
+ Conduct scientific research, experiments, and literature reviews aligned with business needs
+ Build structure/property relationships and apply them to product innovation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, production)
+ Support scale-up and production transfer of new products
+ Present results to internal and external stakeholders, including customers
+ Secure intellectual property and stay informed on industry trends and IP landscape
**You will bring:**
+ Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, materials science, or a related field
+ Strong knowledge of organic chemistry, structure-property relationships, and material characterization techniques
+ Familiarity with surface science, resin handling, and testing procedures
+ Experience in adhesive formulation (pastes/films) for thermosetting systems is a plus
+ Interest in topics such as scale-up, lean principles, or Six Sigma; prior exposure is a plus but not required
