Role overview:
The Dermatology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with external experts. + Support the business unit by attending and contributing to key internal meetings and working cross-functionally.

Qualifications
+ Advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, MD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but not required, an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with demonstrated experience will also be considered.
+ Experience in Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical company and/or experience working within ophthalmology is desirable.
+ Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area, and in medical research in general.
+ Ability to comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments.
+ Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians and other healthcare decision makers.

The territory for this role includes London, North London Counties & East Anglia. We are ideally looking for an experienced Medical Scientific Liaison looking to progress and take on more responsibility in role.


Working alongside a team of Senior MSLs and MSLs, this role will support a specialised portfolio of treatments that relate to a wide variety of therapy areas. The Senior Medical Science Liaison will focus on establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs across the territory, support clinical development and commercialisation efforts, and acts as a scientific expert for the business.


Operating within the team as a Senior MSL offers the additional responsibility as a Therapy Area Medical Lead. This means a greater level of strategic involvement and accountability both within the Medical Affairs team and cross functional with colleagues. You will manage, oversee and lead national projects within the therapy area such as steering groups, educational symposia, and advisory boards.
