**Principal Duties/Responsibilities:**
- Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.

- May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. - Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings.
- Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
- Troubleshoots and analyses control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
- Utilises predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
- Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
- Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
- Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to the stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems.
As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to high volume manufacturing in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we now have an opportunity for a Vision Engineer to join our Operations Engineering Group, working across all aspects of the manufacturing area of the business.
**The Role:**
The role of the Vision Engineer is to support our test strip and biosensor manufacturing processes. Provide an innovative approach to problem solving and stay abreast of current development in vision systems technology to ensure the most effective solutions are applied to problems. Collaborating with engineering colleagues across manufacturing and R+D, you will be involved in all aspects of vision systems projects from scoping the initial requirements, generating the proposal and specification through to the design, development and installation of the solutions across our automated manufacturing equipment.
The job holder will also be responsible for developing and promoting a Machine Vision strategy for the department. They will advise on the latest industry trends, methodologies, and emerging applications as well as lead on sourcing and supplier selection.
**About you:**
To be successful, you will need a formal qualification such as a HNC, HND or degree in a relevant Engineering/Scientific discipline. You will bring a breadth of experience and proven track record integrating Vision Systems and Automated inspection solutions, ideally using Cognex and Keyence, programming in C / C# and knowledge of code readers is required. Control system skills in either Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC platforms would be beneficial but not a prerequisite. Experience with vision libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV or PyTorch would be a nice to have.
You will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of accomplishing your objectives, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively. As we operate in a highly regulated industry, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents.

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team on a contract in London. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.
**About the Role:**
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for:
+ Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs
+ Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department
+ Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks
+ Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment
+ Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system
+ Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
+ Performing ad-hoc duties as needed
**Requirements:**
+ Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
+ Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance
+ Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition
+ Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical

+ Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters

**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide inputs for human centred design engineering for a range of projects across all phases of development
+ You will effectively communicate your work to the wider development team and stakeholders.
+ You will be involved in problem solving and utilisation of different strategies to support resolution of design, risk and regulatory challenges.
+ Support the execution of early patient handling studies (formative studies), identification and maintenance of user needs, conducting user related risk assessments, planning and execution of design validation activities
+ Ensure user needs are considered early and continuously throughout the design process
+ Support the interface between the external vendors and the Human factors Team
+ Management of external HF vendors
+ Support the development and population of the Design History File as it pertains to design Validation
+ Author sections of regulatory files
Requirements:
**Education/Experience:**
+ Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related degree (i.e: Physchology).
+ Practical experience and knowledge of human factors and usability regulatory framework, including FDA guidance, IEC 62366 and ANSI/AAMI HE75 and expectations for medical devices/combination products.
+ Experience on the development, manufacture and integration of end user inputs (user needs and risk related scenarios) of medical devices/combination products.
+ Working experience in product development and design validation as well as in the regulatory pathways for combination products is a must e.g. global submissions, agency interactions and authoring dossiers
+ Experience with integration of risk factors and user inputs into device design
**Skills/Abilities:**
+ Ability to analyse and summarise data and translate them into devices/combination products design recommendations
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as great attention to detail
+ Strong time management/organisational skills
+ Evidence of team working skills and flexibility
+ Experience with combination product and/or parenteral device development would be beneficial

+ Support the generation of installation and commissioning documentation, operator and maintainer training and technical site support post-delivery.
+ Have a technical understanding of engineering design drawings, mainly in relation to PLC control system cubicles, enclosures, and interface panels, to assist in ascertaining constraints and design impacts from site visits, working in collaboration with the engineering teams and stakeholders to produce designs and PLC software to a high-quality level.
**Here's What You'll Need:**
+ A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or demonstrable evidence of experience with a high emphasis on EC&I engineering using PLCs.
+ Significant experience in the design and implementation of PLC control systems.
+ Excellent understanding of PLC programming languages (IEC61131), PLC hardware and software, and communication protocols used in industrial (OT) control systems.
+ Significant demonstrable experience in EC&I industry (preferably Nuclear) with PLCs.
+ Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in PLC programming and system design.
+ Experience in producing control system functional specifications, detailed design documents and formal Test Specifications to a high-quality level.
