About the role
This is a fixed-term, onsite position based in Portadown, Northern Ireland , running until the end of August 2026 , with the potential for extension.
The site specialises in the production of cheese blocks, sliced cheese, and grated cheese bags.
As a Quality Control Technician , you will support the technical team by conducting routine inspections, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. You’ll assist with audits, equipment calibrations, data reporting, and documentation management. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration to uphold site standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
As a Quality Control Technician, you will:
Play a key role in maintaining product integrity and food safety standards
Conduct routine inspections and monitor production processes
Support the technical team with problem-solving on the factory floor
Assist with equipment calibrations and preparation for external audits
Carry out internal audits including glass & perspex, pest control, and temperature checks

As the Warehouse Quality Control Administrator you will play a key role in overseeing quality control practices within our warehouse operations. This position involves ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet quality standards, monitoring storage conditions, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, organisational skills, and experience in food safety and warehouse operations.

- Check compliance to food safety and QA procedures including control measure for allergens.
- Ensure raw materials are stored in the correct manner.
- Ensure FIFO followed by the raw material team all the time
- Maintain warehouse-controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Handover the record sheets to Technical department for reviewing.
- To make sure that all the deliveries notes for all the Goods-in for the day shall be signed for actual correct volume, quality and date by Warehouse team including the delivery notes for all the Goods-in for the day in Miniclipper and Transkold.
- Providing BB dates, Batch numbers for each delivery to Warehouse Systems Controller so that they may book the stock in accurately and create labels for the goods.
- Applying the labels to all goods received.
- Accurate processing of transfers to production on Navision for vegetables on a daily basis and reporting any shortages to purchase team and Supply Chain manager. Responsible for stock control on a daily basis.

Under regular supervision evaluate, inspect and analyse raw materials, intermediates and finished goods by performing basic sensory and/or physical and/or analytical tests to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications and standards.

Academic Background
- High School Diploma within a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology, etc. with experience in chemistry or laboratory techniques and general equivalency development (GED) is required.
Professional Experience
- Overall work experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar position.
- Previous background in Sensory Evaluation and/or Analytical QC required.
Technical Skills
- Laboratory and/or QC techniques required.
- Good computer knowledge with such systems as SAP, Databases, Microsoft Office products is preferred.
