Job Description
Examiner will mark candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. Most subjects will be marked onscreen using ePEN or Learner Work Transfer, which can be done from home. A high level of subject knowledge is necessary in order to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts.

**Responsibilities**
+ To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
+ To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
+ To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
+ To ensure all administration is completed as specified.
**Experience/Qualifications needed**
+ You will hold a minimum of one year's full time teaching experience of the relevant subject.
+ You will have a degree or equivalent.
+ You will be a qualified teacher.
**Competencies required**
+ You will have the ability to work well under pressure.
+ You will have the ability to meet deadlines.
+ You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.

Scarsdale Vets Pride Park, Derby is looking for an Emergency OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a 9 month fixed term contract (running December '25 - September '26).
This role is a unique opportunity to see a diverse and steady case load as we cover OOH for our own practices and a number of surrounding practices. If you enjoy ECC and the challenge of non-routine cases then this role could be exactly what you are looking for. We have an excellent range of facilities and equipment which contribute to a high standard of patient care.
Inpatient care will be looking after the existing inpatients and undertaking procedures/emergency surgery as required e.g., foreign body removal, GDV, C- Section, dressing changes. You will solely be based at our Pride Park hospital, supported by an excellent nursing team, with support from a referral intern overnight.
This is a unique way of working supporting a great work/life balance which is perfect for someone looking to increase their ECC experience.

The main hospital is based at Pride Park in Derby and is home to a busy first opinion practice, a multidisciplinary referral service and an out-of-hours service. We have 8 practice sites in addition to the hospital.
We have a talented and enthusiastic experienced team of veterinary surgeons supported by an exceptional team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and Client Care Advisors.
All our stand-alone practices are RCVS approved. Our main hospital is well equipped with a CT scanner, MRI, Advanced Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites, as well as an onsite hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre and benefits from a multi-disciplinary specialist led referral service.
Applicant Requirements
Experienced ECC vet surgeon, good communication skills, ability to work independently and part of the team, desire, and passion to grow and progress in your career. Must be RCVS registered.
