- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from various sources

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to implement data-driven solutions

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data science
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- 2–5+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role
- Experience handling large datasets and building end-to-end ML models
- Background in working with cross-functional teams in a business setting
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Master’s or Ph.D. preferred for more advanced or research-intensive roles
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Science, AWS Certified Machine Learning) are a plus

They are looking to hire a Data Scientist to join their team, and support on a range of projects, into a range of clients and sectors.
You will be working on important government projects as part of the role, so will gain a security clearance (must be eligible ).
If you are to be considered for the role, you must have experience of Data Science in a professional environment where you have been a go-to figure for junior staff . You must also be a confident speaker, having worked in a client facing, advisor or consultancy environment. Strong ability with technologies/skills like Python (and other coding language), Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, database technologies (SQL or NoSQL) .

The experience we're looking for
- Global experience in a HRBP or COE role ideally with an R&D background with exposure of supporting Global stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent communication and the ability to influence.
- Drive your HR and business agenda in a cross-matrix organization and being comfortable with dealing with complexity and paradox
- Have a proven track record of cultural savviness and/ or understanding of developing markets
- Experience in devising strategic HR interventions that deliver organizational excellence
- Outstanding ability to lead change and instill passion within diverse teams.
- Strong business acumen, value creation, OE, enterprise leadership, and experience in driving learning & development talent management engagement, compliance and DEI agenda

The Department of Chemical Engineering seeks to appoint a highly skilled, adaptable and self-motivated Senior Teaching & Research Laboratory Technician to provide technical support in its teaching and research laboratories.
You will be responsible for assisting the Technical Supervisor in the organisation, co-ordination and maintenance of a variety of equipment in our teaching and research laboratories. You will assume responsibility for a number of administrative tasks supporting the Technical Supervisor and wider technical team, such as ordering (including keeping records of expenditure on specific grant codes), liaising with Estates and external contractors, setting up and maintaining service contracts for equipment and maintaining up to date inventories of equipment.
These duties are in addition to the general responsibilities of Chemical Engineering technical staff, who provide advice, instruction and services in analytical and instrumentation techniques to staff and students across the Department and the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
About youIdeally applicants will hold a first degree in a science-based discipline and/or have considerable experience of working in a teaching or research laboratory environment and the use of related equipment and facilities
Further InformationThis full-time post is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
The position requires full time attendance on campus, hybrid and home working is not applicable to this post.
