Your Role

As a Process Mining Consultant, you will deliver end-to-end solutions that uncover inefficiencies and drive impactful business improvements. Working closely with diverse teams, you will turn complex data into actionable insights and help clients achieve operational excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on process mining projects from data extraction to insight delivery.
  • Develop dashboards and analyses using tools like Celonis, ARIS, or Signavio.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and clearly communicate findings.
  • Integrate insights with enterprise systems to drive sustainable improvements.

Your Profile

Our applicants will have some of the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in process intelligence and/or improvement roles
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end process mining projects, encompassing data extraction, transformation, analysis, and actionable insights.
  • Expertise in process mining tools such as Celonis, ARIS, or Signavio, including developing dashboards and configuring advanced analyses.
  • Experienced on running project phases independently, managing client communications, and ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Proficient in addressing business challenges using data-driven insights and recommending targeted process improvements.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, with practical application experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in conducting workshops to gather client requirements and explain complex analytical findings in accessible terms.
  • Familiarity with integration points between process mining platforms and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for comprehensive process analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage challenges during project delivery while maintaining client confidence and trust.

  • Experience training clients in process mining tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their data models to effectively map process landscapes.
  • Competence in conducting root cause analysis and proposing specific interventions for operational inefficiencies.

Our client is a leading industrial process & manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven Quarry Manager to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily quarry operations, ensuring efficient planning and contractor management within set budgets.
  • Gather operational data and generate management reports and performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all mining and mobile plant activities comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Champion a strong safety culture in line with Imerys' Safety Policy, with a continuous focus on reducing accidents.
  • Address and manage team disciplinary and grievance matters professionally.
  • Drive continuous improvement by challenging current methods and applying the ICube approach throughout quarry operations.
  • Work collaboratively with Geology and Laboratory teams to optimise quarry output and adjust blends to maintain consistent quality and supply.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Hold relevant qualifications (BSc, BTEC HND, or Diploma in Quarry Technology) and NVQ Level 4 in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
  • Strong understanding of UK Quarries Regulations 1999 and a proven record of improving EHS standards in mining and processing.
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure, and delivering projects to deadlines.
  • Experienced in optimising productivity through effective resource and equipment management.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including in shift-based environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of geology, mineral processing, quality standards, SPC, and product market applications; Chartered Engineer and professional body member.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an Industrial Mining Production Manager to manage a mining production site under Quarries legislation. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead safe, cost-effective mining operations, continuously improve EHS standards, and ensure tonnage and quality targets are met.



Key Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day and forward planning of quarrying operations, ensuring compliance with Quarries Regulations 1999.
  • Plan, organise, and optimise production to meet tonnage, quality, and cost targets.
  • Lead and develop best practice in health, safety, and environmental compliance, driving a zero-accident culture.
  • Oversee mobile plant operations and resource allocation to maximise productivity.
  • Produce management reports, KPIs, and maintain communication with internal customers and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with Geology and Laboratory teams to optimise quarry production and blend modifications.
  • Manage grievance and disciplinary issues within the quarrying team.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, embracing I-Cube philosophy.
  • Manage annual production budgets, costs, and capital projects, ensuring completion within agreed targets.
  • Ensure compliance with MCERTS monitoring systems and maintain environmental performance standards.
  • Direct short, medium, and long-term mine plans in collaboration with Technical Support and Geology teams.


Requirements

  • Relevant degree (BSc Mining Engineering, BTEC HND Mining Engineering, Diploma in Quarry Technology or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 4 in Health, Safety & Environmental Management in Extractive & Minerals Processing Industries or similar.
  • Proven knowledge of UK Quarries Regulations 1999 and experience managing open cast mining operations.
  • Experience in optimising production assets, resources, and cost control.
  • Strong EHS leadership experience with a proven record of driving safety standards.
  • Ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Experience leading and motivating operational teams, including shift environments.
  • Technical understanding of geology and process impacts on quality.
  • Full UK driving licence.
