Collaboration & Partnership: Build effective working relationships with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Engage with wider agencies to influence health policy and ensure integrated support for children and young people (CYP).
Clinical Practice & Direct Care: Deliver health assessments, targeted interventions, immunisations, enuresis clinics, continence assessments, and sexual health services. Identify unmet health needs, provide referrals, and maintain safeguarding responsibilities in line with local procedures.

As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be helping the community by ensuring parking restrictions are followed and the high turnover of limited parking spaces are used appropriately, keeping our streets safer and more accessible for everyone.
You will also ensure the effective provisions of spaces for vulnerable people such as blue badge holders.
What you will be doing
- It will be your responsibility to enforce and advise on the parking restrictions, issuing penalty charge notices (PCNs) as appropriate, including residents parking schemes.
- You will identify instances of non-compliance and take appropriate action in line with council policies, regulations and codes of practice, ensuring customers are informed of the outcome and provided with clear, accurate advice.
- Whilst you will primarily issue PCNs while on foot patrol, you may also be required to enforce parking and moving traffic offences, using a static CCTV Patrol Unit (CAR).
- Occasionally, you may be required to appear in hearings as the council’s witness, providing accurate reports in support of enforcement activity.
- You may be required to act on other issues during your patrols, such as littering, following clear guidelines and protocols.
What we need from you
- As you will be dealing with the public daily, it is essential you have experience within a similar public facing role.
- Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be a good communicator, remain impartial, and be able to adapt quickly to situations in a professional manner.
- You must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, delivering a high-quality public service.
- Ideally, having knowledge of parking enforcement legislation would be helpful, however not essential as full training is provided.
What you need to know
- Your shift pattern will be 8am – 6pm, 4 days on 4 days off, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Enhancements for weekends and bank holiday working applies.
- You should be comfortable working outside in all weather.
- You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area so you must have a full, valid driving licence. You will have access to a South Gloucestershire Council fleet vehicle during your operational hours, although most enforcement duties will be conducted via foot patrols.

Job Description
As a Social Work Assistant, you'll be supporting vulnerable local families and their children to make a positive change. Giving the children a voice, you will work with them to express their wishes, thoughts and feelings by delivering support with a focus on what will make the biggest difference to them.
What you will be doing
- Daily, you will organise and chair review meetings, prepare and share reports, as well as represent young people or the team/service at a variety of meetings relevant to the families allocated to you.
- Visiting children in a range of settings such as their home or school, you will develop positive relationships and gain an understanding of the child’s lived experiences.
- Working closely with agencies, providers and family members, you will make sure that we have the right level of multi-agency support around a child and family where there has been a history of domestic abuse.
- Regularly, you will review plans created by social workers within the Response team and make sure that these are producing good outcomes for children and families.
- It will be your responsibility to gather and share information to inform reviews, assessments and plans for children and families open to the team, and ensure that the needs, voice and views of the child remain central to all we do.
What we need from you
- It is essential that you are qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or working towards an appropriate qualification related to the provision of services to children and young people.
- You will have experience of working in a statutory setting with children, young people and families specifically where domestic abuse was a factor.
- You must have an awareness and experience of risk assessment whilst preparing for and performing a task, and the ability to take appropriate action if risks are identified
- It will be essential for you to have experience/knowledge of relevant childcare legislation i.e. child protection, regulations and codes of practice, processes and procedures.
What you need to know
- You will be working 2 days per week for a limited term ending 12 months from the agreed start date.
- Salary will be pro rata to hours worked.
- Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
- You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area so you must have a full, valid driving licence with regular access to a vehicle or have an alternative means of travel.
- Business insurance will need to be added to your current car insurance policy.
