We have an exciting opportunity for a Semi Skilled Operative to join our successful team at Portakabin Site Accommodation based in Glasgow.

In this role you will refurbish and fit out the complete range of our buildings to the highest possible standards, carrying out rectifications as well as supporting the install and dismantle of our buildings alongside our hauliers.

Role Responsibilities

*Undertake the advance preparation/decoration of all product surfaces, both internal and external.

*Carry out basic joinery tasks inclusive of partition walls, doors, windows etc.

*Carry out basic plumbing tasks inclusive of sink and toilet assembly, waste and drainage, copper and push fit fittings etc.

*Undertake basic electrics inclusive of sockets, heaters, lighting etc, supporting in the preparation and first fix, on site.

*Assist where required in the general fitting out and refurbishment of buildings both on and off site.

*Erect access platform and/or operate mechanical plant to undertake work above ground level.

*Take responsibility for individual and others health and safety, ensuring health and safety policies are adhered and near miss and hazards are reported when witnessed.

*Assist and support team in providing a customer focused and efficient service.

*Ensure reused fittings and materials are utilised as a priority without compromising quality.

Essential Skills Required

*Proven operational experience in joinery, plumbing, painting, decorating and electrics.

*Strong ability in establishing good relationships with customers and staff, building effective networks.

*Ability to accept and tackle demanding goals with enthusiasm.

*Good organisation & planning skills.

*Ability in planning, organising and problem solving.

  • Experience in customer focus and decision making.

*Full UK Driving Licence.

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Premium Finance Underwriter to join our wider Underwriting team. You will provide support on implementing esure’s strategy to optimise customer outcomes and profit for the premium finance product. If you have experience in an Underwriting role and knowledge of  Insurance or wider Financial Services products this could be a great role for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Input into our projects / programmes related to Premium Finance product whilst also providing input to the development and delivery of our product roadmaps.
  • Maintain and grow your understanding of the current and emerging opportunities and risks of Premium Finance products. 
  • Build strong relationships with departments across the business (especially with our claims department) to enable provision of effective repair/replace and claim defence strategies. 
  • Work with Pricing to assess and gain an understanding of the impact, risks and opportunities presented by developments within Premium Finance and our other key insurance products.
  • Maintain an appropriate underwriting footprint via appropriate pricing, aggregator filters, underwriting rules. 
  • Devise rules and analyse output of underwriting tools to detect and remove unwanted, suspicious and potentially fraudulent business at the ‘front door’.   
  • Use data/technology to deliver intelligence throughout customer lifetime to become a market leader and drive exponential growth 
Qualifications

What we’d love you to bring:

  • Great underwriting experience with knowledge of either insurance or wider financial services products.
  • Any experience with premium finance products or a credit type background would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of using products and propositions to drive customer appeal and loyalty.  
  • Ability to identify and anticipate potential business opportunities, risks and threats. 
  • You will be inquisitive and strive to understand what data is telling us to in order for our business to make informed decisions.
  • Someone who can successfully build strong relationships and partnerships with other business areas.

Qualifications

What we’d love you to bring:

  • Passion for data with an inquisitive mind and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo while working collaboratively to deliver best in class insight and analysis
  • Proven fluency in SQL or Python, writing code which is clean and easily interpreted
  • Outstanding visualisation skills (we use Tableau)
  • Demonstrable ability to extract and transform data for use in modelling and machine learning
  • Experience in customer focused insight is our ideal, with any exposure to call centre environments being a big plus.

Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with 6–10 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java (versions 11 and 17), microservices architecture, and middleware technologies including Kafka and IBM MQ. Experience with Camunda BPM is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java 11/17.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Integrate and manage middleware components such as Kafka (mandatory) and IBM MQ.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks using Cucumber.
  • Work with Camunda BPM for workflow and process automation.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications on private or public cloud platforms.
  • Perform database operations and optimizations using SQL Server and Oracle (11i, 10g).

Skills Required:

Your Role  

Capgemini Financial Services is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Glasgow, Scotland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the tools, processes, and infrastructure that enable rapid deployment and efficient operations of our financial services application

Your Profile 

  • 5 years of experience working with containers Kubernetes and related technologies on Cloud platforms AWS preferably
  • 3 years of experience working in setting up the cloud infrastructure using Cloud Formation
  • Experience of DevOps tooling such as Jenkins Bitbucket Nexus Git Jira etc
  • Experience in working configuring wide range of AWS services such as API Gateway Lambda ECS Elastic Load Balancers EC2 MSK RDS Oracle preferred
  • Experience on virtual server hosting EC2 container management Kubernetes ECS and EKS and Linux Operating System
  • Network experience aware of cloud network patterns such as VPC network interconnect subnets peering firewalls etc
  • Basic knowledge of Java based application API Microservices

Desirable skillsPreferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of scripting experience using PowerShell Perl Ruby Node js or Python
  • Proficient with Jira Jenkins BitbucketGitlab and Git Workflows
  • Exposure to working within a controlled environment such as banking and financial services
  • Experience on Docker and at least one Docker Container orchestration Amazon ECSEKS Kubernetes
  • Relevant AWS certification
