About the Role

As our Pastoral Lead, youll be at the heart of everything we do to support the wellbeing and personal growth of our pupils. Youll lead the pastoral team, champion safeguarding and inclusion, and drive positive behaviour and emotional resilience across the school.

From developing personalised care plans to coordinating support with families and external agencies, youll play a vital role in creating an environment where young people can thrive both emotionally and academically.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead & Safeguard: Take the lead as the schools Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO), ensuring every childs safety and wellbeing are at the forefront.
• Inspire & Guide: Develop and embed effective behaviour support and pastoral care strategies; mentor and empower staff to deliver best practice.
• Support & Empower Students: Provide direct support to pupils in crisis, promote emotional regulation, and coordinate multi-agency interventions.
• Drive Standards: Contribute to school policy, monitor pastoral data, and uphold high-quality assurance and compliance standards.
• Champion School Values: Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, promoting a trauma-informed, inclusive culture where every student matters.

The role:

We are looking for a Lead Clinician - Practitioner Psychologist, OT, SaLT to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Bluebank School based in Derbyshire. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the schools Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plansfor our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target led, via the OFG all, group and individual clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice. They will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team and leading on the service development of the clinical school-based service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Essential Criteria:

• Doctorate or BPS stage 2 qualification - must be a registered psychologist, SaLT, OT and with the HCPC.
• Valid and up to date professional Registration & membership of professional body e.g. BPS
• Experience within the specialist client group; working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
• Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
• Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work dynamically and within a growing and developing clinical service
• Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designatedspecialty preferred
• Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

About the Role

As a SEND Secondary Teacher, you will lead in a particular curriculum area, developing engaging and creative learning experiences tailored to pupils individual educational needs. You will support KS4 staff by providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship, while working collaboratively with support staff to ensure pupils receive the assistance they need. In addition, you will provide feedback to SLT, parents, and carers to monitor and enhance pupil progress, support pupils who may display challenging behaviours due to their additional needs, and actively promote the schools vision and values while contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirement:

• UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
• Experience or interest in working with SEN/SEMH pupils in a secondary setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
