We are currently recruiting for Technical Leads to sit within one of our core value streams to focus on developing and implementing innovative digital technology. What you'll do:

  • Technical Lead for a squad, ensuring collaborative working with Product Owners, Developers, QA’s, Architects and the wider business.
  • Lead, manage and coach a team of engineers. You will lead from the front with expert hands-on software development experience and ensure high technical standards are met throughout the team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the squad has a clear mission, understands the wider tech strategy, healthy backlog and working to Agile practices.
  • Work with our Architects and Principal Engineers on new tech choices and architecture evolution.
  • Always looking at ways to Improve engineering practices in the squad including code quality, testing and CI/CD.
  • Be a senior part of esure’s engineering community. Strive to actively share technical expertise with the team and champion / drive tech change wider than your squad.
Qualifications

  • A Java technical expert! Our Tech Lead roles are a good blend of people management and strategy and hands on development (Spring Boot experience is key).
  • Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins and Docker (ideally with Kubernetes) as well as cloud platform experience, ideally AWS.
  • Experience in design and development of distributed, scalable, and highly available systems with a customer centric approach.

The Performance Tester will work collaboratively with wider teams to help, such as QA Engineers, DevOps, Platform Engineers and Software Engineers to develop and build esure’s future performance testing capability.

We are looking for a pure performance specialist, ideally with Gatling, or similar, experience and good knowledge of Java. This role isn’t just about writing scripts — it’s about diving deep into performance analysis, mastering debugging, and pinpointing exactly where the bottlenecks are holding things back

What you’ll do:

  • Member of multi-discipline team shaping esure’s future performance testing capability
  • Proactively improves application performance, reliability, processes and continuous improvement culture
  • Defines, tests and reports NFRs across customer journeys and services
  • Delivers automated performance, load, stress and endurance testing to meet requirements
  • Uses leading tools like Gatling, JMeter and k6 for testing
  • Builds and maintains frameworks integrating with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
  • Creates and delivers end-to-end performance test strategies and plans

Qualifications

  • A background in software testing and performance testing

  • Extensive experience designing fact and dimension tables across domains such as policy, quote, claims, pricing, and fraud, ensuring consistency and alignment with business metrics
  • Deep practical knowledge of semantic layer design and implementation using DBT, SQL, and Delta Live Tables

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our forward-thinking Data team.

In this position, your responsibility will be to contribute to the company's expansion by incorporating innovative data resources and sophisticated modeling techniques to elevate profitability. You will work across the full data science lifecycle – from generating ideas, through building and deploying models, to measuring impact using A/B testing.

You will gain hands-on experience with leading technology, modern architecture, and the latest applications of machine learning and generative AI in production.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand and propose improvements to existing process using new data sources and advanced machine learning techniques.
  • Deliver projects end-to-end from scoping/R&D through to production deployment and benefit measurement.
  • Following and contributing to our standards for code quality, R&D, and model development practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineers to productionise and deploy machine-learning models into our AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Write production-grade code in Python, demonstrating CI/CD, Databricks and ensuring appropriate test coverage.

We currently have a phenomenal opportunity for an AI Engineer to join our us as we enhance our customer experience by harnessing the power of NLP, large language models, and flawless integration with third-party GenAI services. In this dynamic role, you'll be involved in every stage of the AI lifecycle, from brainstorming ideas and crafting prompts to fine-tuning models and deploying them into production. Success in this role is measured through rigorous A/B testing, ensuring our solutions deliver real value.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify use-cases where GenAI can provide measurable benefits.
  • Support the data science and AI team in deploying scalable AI applications across the enterprise.
  • Work with a multi-functional team (DevOps, data engineers, developers, testers, Infosec) to productionize AI services on AWS.
  • Enhance our tech stack, including MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, UI, and AI Python libraries.
  • Develop prompts, fine-tune models, and track results.
  • Evaluate third-party GenAI and LLM technologies for cost-benefit analysis.
  • Deliver projects from scoping and R&D to production deployment and benefit measurement.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Actuarial Manager to join us on a 9-month fixed term contract basis. It’s a hugely exciting time for us at esure as we continue through an acquisition process with Ageas UK. This role is integral to supporting us as we go through this period of change as you will support the production and business understanding of our financial results through detailed analysis.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out actuarial reserving across our household account and make recommendations to the Chief Actuary and wider business.
  • Immerse yourself within the business to understand the drivers and uncertainties behind claims emergence.
  • By producing practical an engaging insight, explain to our colleagues across Pricing, Finance and Claims the reasons behind changes in ultimate selections, observed movements in development and uncertainties in results.
  • Present results of selected reserve reviews at formal reserve committees.
  • Produce results to feed into the company’s financial reporting process.
  • Investigate and implement improvements to analysis and processes to drive fuller insight and improving levels of accuracy.
  • Use our new, forward thinking tech platform to improve efficiency, processes and insight.
  • Coach, mentor and develop our Actuarial Analysts. Knowledge sharing will play a big part of this role and drive that culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications

What we’d love you to bring:

  • An experienced Actuarial Manager with UK Personal Lines reserving experience.
  • A data driven individual who is keen to share knowledge around their expertise to the wider business but also to an Actuarial function.
  • Actuarial Qualification (IFoA or equivalent).
  • Experience with IFRS17 reporting is highly advantageous.
  • Any experience working with or in an environment such as AI, Machine Learning, Python is a nice to have but not essential.

  • 1st stage interview: 1 hour with our Chief Actuary
