What will I be doing?

  • Represent and lead Operations responsibility in projects, ensuring design and support model fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that all platforms/ systems/services in your control achieve the agreed availability target, ensure that adequate expert support is available 24 x 7 x 365

The Scope

We have an incredible opportunity for you to join our dynamic migrations team as a Product Manager (Consumer Migration), managing the acceleration of the customer base to the new EE brand.

You will establish and maintain a Migration Strategy that will enable EE and broader BT Group transformation outcomes and performance targets to be met. 

This pivotal role will lead on forecasting, business case development and portfolio management, creating better experiences for customers across some of the UKs biggest brands. 

Collaborating closely with the EE leadership team, you’ll be customer obsessed in developing a plan that balances business needs with best in class processes and propositions that accelerate the customer base onto the strategic portfolio and unlock value that is central to BT Group ’s core strategy. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the Consumer migration strategy, which includes both the development and delivery of migration specific processes and coordination of marketing and trading activity across the business, to achieve business-critical transformation goals associated with this strategy.
  • Establishing longer term migration customer forecasts, collaborating with key marketing, finance, and commercial trading leads to enable a plan that is optimised for customers and the business.
  • Balancing commercial, finance, product, marketing, and operational skills to meet customer migration volume targets through a clear customer migration strategy and the identification of roadmaps to proactively move customers to the strategic portfolio.
  • Supporting the management of investment budgets and associated strategic investment decisions to deliver outcomes. 
  • Conducting analysis and customer research and testing to ensure that migration capability build is optimised for customer experience and value.
  • Presenting new migration plans and concepts to the EE senior leadership team.

Experience needed to be successful in the role

  • 5+ years product management or product portfolio experience.
  • Proven commercial acumen, with experience developing strategies that drive product performance and customer outcomes.
  • Previous experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders up to director level.
  • Experience working in a large-scale consumer-facing environment, telecoms industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience developing product migration strategies, manage budgets and forecasting.
  • Experience using customer insights and data to inform decision making.

The Scope

As a Senior Product Designer for our design system, Loop , you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a platform that supports over 100 designers across EE.

You’ll be at the forefront of evolving our design standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact at scale while taking ownership of the design quality across our foundations, components, and patterns.

You’ll also play a key role in growing design capability across the team. This includes identifying skill gaps, mentoring peers, and supporting your design manager with training initiatives to elevate the overall craft.

What you’ll be doing

  • Creating highly scalable components and pattern libraries in Figma and cascading down best practices to the rest of the team.
  • Monitoring the design community in adopting our system and contributing to it through analytics and surveys.
  • Scaling the design system to ensure the capacity to handle multiple brands (EE, Plusnet and BT).
  • Building meaningful internal relationships, contributes to a culture of design excellence and promotes a user-centred way of working
  • Advocating for customer needs, overseeing that designers and squads are designing solutions that solve real customer needs
  • Implementing continuous improvement opportunities to improve the design team processes, ensuring a consistent and coherent process to manage design quality and collaboration across squads.
  • Championing innovation and continuously developing the team’s knowledge on emerging trends and changes in customer experience such as customer problems and ensures that the squads are sharing ideas and insights.
  • Mentoring other product designers, helping to improve the team’s craft and meet ambitions as well as act as a technical resource.

Experience needed to be successful in the role

  • Extensive experience building highly scalable components and patterns so they can futureproof the designs where they are being consumed.
  • A track record of prioritising requests from different teams, accessing the various needs and making difficult decisions, often having to push back against stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating groups of designers as part of workshops to help refine components and patterns that address all needs.
  • Proven ability to build design library content which is fully compliant with our WCAG standard. What you build will be consumed by multiple teams and you will have the support of an in-house accessibility team.
  • Demonstrable experience of using data to understand how people use your components, considering various elements of feedback and performance metrics to when making necessary changes.
  • Previous experience working in either a design system team or contributed to the build and curation of design libraries.
  • Experience working on a white-label or multi-brand project.
  • Proficient experience using Figma which is our core design tool. This includes a strong understanding of its existing features, especially how to leverage variables to make scalable components and patterns.
  • Experience mentoring or managing design peers, instilling best practises and supporting career development.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience working within large organisations with a complex design environment. This will be beneficial when navigating diverse teams and functions.

Why This Job Matters:

As the People Relations Specialist (Partner), you will ensure that all People Relations cases are effectively supported and managed by the Specialist Hubs and Case Team.

You will embed in your CFU (business area) and have comprehensive oversight of the People Relations landscape in your area, acting as the bridge and People Relations Partner between the Case Teams and your CFU People & Culture (P&C) Team to ensure seamless delivery of case services. Additionally, you will identify case insights and themes through data and your partnerships, feeding this into continuous improvement and enhancing the colleague experience.

You will foster a values-driven and inclusive People Relations service and culture across your CFU area, ensuring that matters are approached with fairness, consistency, and a human-centric, risk-managed perspective.

Building strong stakeholder relationships will also be key to your role. You will leverage data and insights to drive strategic outcomes, improving case management, policies, procedures, and products.

Collaborating closely with colleagues in People and HR Services, CFU P&C, Senior Stakeholders, Ethics, Corporate Investigations, and the Legal team, your contributions will promote positive change, remove barriers, and enhance the colleague experience.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need:

  • Deep understanding of ER practices, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Experience in designing and delivering effective training programs
  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
  • Strong skills in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to anticipate and advise on changes
  • Familiarity with SAP systems, SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow
