About the role
To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. Improve the quality of pupils’ learning in English and to contribute to the development and / or implementation of English policy and procedure.
Have lead responsibility for English across the secondary school and develop plans which identify clear targets and success criteria for its development and / or maintenance and in consultation with the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum;
General Responsibilities
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people;
- Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies of Glebedale School;
- Take responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually then negotiated and agreed within the performance management cycle and school improvement process;
- Support all staff in achieving the priorities and targets of the school improvement plan and monitor the progress of those which relate to English;
- Set appropriate and achievable expectations and targets for pupils
- Ensure that parent/carers are well informed about the curriculum, targets, pupil’s progress and attainment in English across the whole school.
Knowledge and Understanding
- The school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies and action plans;
- Any statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ attainment and progress;
- The characteristics of high-quality teaching and the main strategies for improving and sustaining high standards of teaching, learning and achievement for all pupils;
- The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning.

Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, target led, via the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice. They will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team and leading on the service development of the clinical school-based service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead. It’s Wednesday afternoon. You’ve enjoyed your day, and now it’s time for your shift as a Field Market Research Interviewer! You’re heading out for a scheduled 6-hour shift (starting around 1 or 2pm), one of three you’ve pre-booked for the week, consisting of weekdays and weekends between the hours of 9am and 8pm.
You hop in your car - you’ll need that, business insurance and a valid driver’s licence for this job - and head to a neighbourhood nearby. Your mission? Chatting with people about their opinions and experiences - right at their doorstep! You’ll be going door-to-door, inviting people to participate in surveys. The Role As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) division, you’ll bring your expert knowledge and problem-solving skills directly to our members – wherever they are. •
Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) •
At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a vehicle technician on light vehicles •
A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
