The Role

Hours (12-hour shifts):
- 4 on 4 off pattern - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

- Manufacturing experience : Minimum 1 year managing and coordinating operators
 - Diagnosing mechanical issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques.
 - Proficient in taking apart machinery to understand its components and functionality, as well as reassembling it correctly to ensure optimal operation.
 - Keen eye for detail , which is essential for identifying faults or inefficiencies in machinery and ensuring precision during assembly and disassembly.
 - Commitment to ongoing improvement , which may involve suggesting modifications to existing machinery or processes to enhance efficiency, safety, or performance.
 - Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating with others to implement improvements and resolve mechanical issues.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead for first line maintenance of several production machines including operational decisions to achieve targets
 - Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
 - Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
 - Using diagnostic tools and methods to identify the root causes of problems.
 - Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
 - Assisting operators with daily productions tasks to ensure line targets are met.

We’re looking for experienced Life Claims Assessors to join our brilliant team.
 We settle 98.3% of all individual protection policies and paid over £1 billion in claims last year – and we’d love your help to keep that going. 
A bit about the job
You’ll assess life, terminal illness and critical illness claims – from investigation to outcome – while supporting customers with empathy, including delivering difficult news sensitively.
From start to finish, you’ll guide customers through their claims journey with care and clarity, and refer complex cases to specialists when needed.
You’ll manage a portfolio of claims across multiple systems, suggest improvements, and adapt to new technologies. Communication is key, when working with brokers and third parties, as well as customers.
You’ll also be a key contact for technical queries and help coach others. This role is all about delivering great service and making a real difference.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Experience assessing life-related products (e.g., life insurance, terminal illness, critical illness, income protection).
Knowledge of legal aspects like probate and CIDRA rules.
Experience managing claims end-to-end, including signing out claim’s decisions independently.
Strong communication skills, including supporting vulnerable customers, with customer-first mindset with great attention to detail.
Confidence in making decisions and adapting quickly to change.
