As our Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering the engineering management aspects of our project. Reporting directly to the Project Director, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Tenders and ECI: Early involvement in temporary works design and advice.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the primary contact for client liaison, ECI, tender optioneering, design meetings, and site teams for both permanent and temporary works.
• Quality Management: Oversee the quality manager to ensure compliance with quality requirements and prevent re-work.
• People Management: Build strong relationships across the division and supply chain, conduct site audits, and provide coaching and support.

As our Project Director , you will:

• Direct the site management team through all project phases to meet contract requirements.
• Engage in client liaison and generate new business in line with the Company Business Plan.
• Manage project documentation and reporting, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and addressing concerns.
• Oversee design and construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Lead the procurement process for all equipment, materials, and services, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Provide overall leadership and direction, ensuring project objectives are met within budget, schedule, and quality constraints.
• Assist site Project Managers with constructability issues during the planning phase and manage resource allocation for early construction activities.
• Support the Commercial Manager in administering subcontracts.

• Have experience in environments with structural steelwork, cladding, and reinforced concrete.
• Possess strong knowledge of management systems and processes used within a similar Tier 1 business.

• Have demonstrated experience in leading large, complex infrastructure projects.

As a Sub-Agent, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering control and supervising production resources. Your mission? Ensure compliance with project and company systems for a defined area of the works at Hinkley Point C. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

• Produce, monitor, and manage short-term lookahead programmes.
• Exhibit sound commercial awareness at the Sub-Agent level.
• Manage temporary works on-site, leveraging your prior experience as a TWS/TWC.
• Provide input and review for permanent works design to ensure constructability.
• Oversee the change process through RFI/FCR/NCR.
• Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering their growth.

This role is perfect for you if you have:

• Experience in planning, managing, and monitoring civil works (earthworks, structures, drainage, reinforced concrete, or temporary works).
• Previous experience as a Sub-Agent with a solid understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project delivery.
• CSCS & SMSTS certifications.
• An excellent grasp of CDM regulations and site safety standards.
