As an IT Specialist within Nuclear IT Services, you’ll play a key role in ensuring critical systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. Your work will directly support nuclear safety by reducing distractions for operational teams and maintaining IT continuity.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. From first-line support to involvement in large-scale projects, you’ll provide technical expertise across a range of IT services, acting as a trusted point of contact for both site teams and external partners.

You’ll be the go-to expert for IT services on site, ensuring systems run smoothly and securely. From resolving local IT issues to supporting station projects, your work will keep operations focused and safe.

You’ll maintain hardware and infrastructure, monitor service quality, and challenge inconsistencies where needed. Acting as an Intelligent Customer, you’ll collaborate with central teams and third-party providers to deliver high standards across all IT services.

Whether it’s outage preparation or implementing system changes, you’ll take a proactive approach to problem-solving and ensure compliance with asset management processes.

This role is based full-time on site at Hartlepool Power Station.

Who You Are

As a minimum, you hold an HNC or equivalent in a relevant IT subject. You have proven experience in IT service delivery within large, complex environments and are confident supporting MS Windows operating systems, MS Office, and core server technologies like Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Print.

You’re skilled in installing and supporting peripheral devices and bring strong problem-solving abilities alongside excellent customer-facing skills. Independence and teamwork come naturally to you.

Knowledge of LAN networking in a Cisco environment would be an advantage.

The salary range associated with this role is between £45,641 - £68,958. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.  We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to health insurance.

The Opportunity 

This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at our #Hartlepool Power Station in County Durham. 

You’ll join our Engineering team, supporting safe and reliable generation by helping to deliver solutions for plant risks. You’ll work alongside engineers across multiple disciplines, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real-world challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing 

During your Engineering Industrial Placement, you’ll gain practical experience in a professional environment. Past students have installed liquid level monitoring systems, assessed plant and component conditions, and supported condition monitoring programmes across operational sites. 

You may also contribute to safety improvements through communications campaigns, training and other initiatives. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you. 

Your Work Location 

You’ll be based at our #Hartlepool Power Station in County Durham, where you’ll work alongside experienced teams and gain exposure to the operational side of nuclear energy. This location offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues and contribute to a key part of our business.

To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering. The Opportunity

As Finance Lead – Systems & Data, you’ll lead a team and take ownership of our finance systems, data governance and reporting tools. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data across our UK and Ireland operations.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders to shape our ERP strategy, drive system improvements and support decision-making with reliable, timely insights. This is a high-impact role with scope to innovate and influence the future of finance technology at EDF Power Solutions.

As our Technical Reporting & Treasury Manager, you’ll lead a team of finance professionals and take ownership of statutory accounts, audits and treasury functions across 50+ legal entities. You’ll be the key liaison for shareholders and external auditors, ensuring our reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with UK GAAP and IFRS.

You’ll bring your technical expertise to drive improvements in financial reporting and treasury processes, while supporting strategic decision-making. The Opportunity


As the Deputy Chief Medical Officer here at EDF, you will act as a strategic partner to the Chief Medical Officer, providing support and leadership in their absence, managing delegated operational responsibilities, and ensuring continuity of services. This includes oversight of day-to-day clinical operations, case management, compliance with governance standards, and implementation of strategic initiatives, while escalating issues of strategic significance to senior management.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and undertake clinical assessments and fitness-for-work evaluations, including managing complex cases, ensuring outcomes align with organisational standards.
  • Provide leadership in Occupational Health Physician services across EDF sites, driving consistent, high-quality clinical support and managing weekly travel schedules.
  • Deliver and take accountability for Appointed Doctor services under the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017, ensuring compliance across all EDF sites.
  • Develop, own, and implement Occupational Health (OH) strategies aligned to the Company Business Plan, ensuring successful execution across the organisation.
  • Lead clinical governance initiatives , monitoring performance and ensuring the highest quality of OH delivery.
  • Champion and oversee the medical reporting officer functions, including review of drug and alcohol test results across the fleet.
  • Ensure operational readiness by managing availability for the on-call physician rota across the fleet.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of OH policies, procedures, and KPIs, ensuring they are current, effective, and fit for purpose.
  • Drive and deliver all OHP services to Company OH functions, taking accountability for cross-cover arrangements and operational continuity.
  • Lead the training, development, and mentorship of EDF clinical staff, fostering professional growth and best practice adoption.
  • Oversee legislative and regulatory compliance , proactively monitoring changes and implementing required updates to maintain service excellence.
  • Provide actionable health data to demonstrate compliance and inform HR, safety, and management decisions.
  • Identify, resolve, and prevent areas of non-compliance across OH services, ensuring accountability at all levels.
  • Own CPD management and knowledge-sharing initiatives , ensuring staff meet professional development requirements and implement best practice.
  • Lead and optimise medical IT systems to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Direct OH recruitment and team management , building capability and accountability across the Occupational Health function.
  • Represent and influence the Health and Wellbeing leadership team, contributing to the design and delivery of the company’s wellbeing strategy.
  • Investigate, resolve, and escalate complaints relating to the technical aspects of Occupational Healthcare, ensuring robust and accountable management.

Who you are    

To be successful in this role you will need to have an inquiring, solution focussed proactive approach to Occupational Health, an aspiring vision of OH and to lead by example and be a great team player. 

You will be

  • A Member or a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine
  • Able to hold security clearance
  • Appointable under IRR 17
  • Hold a valid Uk Drivers Licence
  • Able to travel regularly for work
  • Have advanced DBS clearance

Your (current) Occupational Health skills and knowledge will include:

  • Extensive experience in clinical leadership, with a proven ability to manage complex cases in safety-critical and regulated industries. You provide vision and professional leadership to medical staff, consistently promoting excellence in clinical practice.
  • You have a strong track record in service development, driving innovation and encouraging medical colleagues to engage in research and education. You also contribute strategically to the development of organisational objectives, including the provision of services and the achievement of performance targets.
  • Your leadership extends to clinical governance, where you oversee initiatives that safeguard patient safety and ensure the highest standards of care. You deputise for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), representing them at board level and in other senior forums, making informed decisions on clinical matters. You work collaboratively with other senior leaders, including other CMOs, to deliver organisational goals.
  • You are skilled in stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration with internal and external partners, including NHS organisations and universities. You are committed to health, safety, wellbeing, and the environment, and you carry out your role in a manner that supports the organisation’s sustainability — financially, environmentally, ethically, and socially.
