At Entasis Partners, we connect architecture and technology leaders with opportunities to shape complex transformations. We’re supporting a global consultancy who are seeking a Manager with a strong background in IT consulting and commodity/energy trading to lead on major technology-led initiatives.
The Role
You’ll be at the heart of technology and trading operations, advising utilities, trading firms, renewables players, and digital start-ups on how to modernise and transform their IT landscapes. From implementing ETRM solutions through to shaping cloud-based, data-driven platforms, real-time risk management, and AI-enabled trading capabilities — this role puts you in the driving seat of trading technology innovation.
As a Technology Consulting Manager, you’ll:

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, defining technology strategies and visions.
- Lead and mentor teams, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and future-ready.
- Tackle high-value challenges around regulation, digitalisation, and market change.
What We’re Looking For from the Technology Consulting Manager
We’d love to speak with individuals who bring:
- 10–15 years’ IT consulting experience with strong project delivery skills.
- Solid exposure to energy/commodity trading environments (ETRM, short-term trading, market access, or data-centric platforms).
- Hands-on knowledge of ETRM systems (Endur, Allegro, Openlink, etc.) and wider trade lifecycle processes.
- Experience with risk management, optimisation, and forecasting frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud and digital solutions (Azure, AWS), plus data and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in European/global trading markets.
- A background in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience.
Why This Matters
Energy markets are evolving fast. The right technology not only helps trading organisations manage risk and optimise portfolios but also underpins the transition to new, sustainable models. This is a chance to lead teams, shape strategy, and deliver solutions that make a tangible impact.
