recruitment sector and requires an Accounts & Payroll Clerk to assist the Group Financial Controller to ensure the
business develops and grows to its full potential.

The Role
The Accounts & Payroll Clerk will be responsible for completing payroll, with all associated functions to manage, for
both internal staff and temporary agency workers, as well as assisting the Group Financial Controller in maintaining
accurate financial records, reporting on large amounts of data, reconciling accounts and supporting day to day
financial tasks across multiple sites for NextGen Operations Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll runs, including PAYE, NI, pensions and holiday pay
* Ensure compliance with RTI reporting, auto-enrolment and statutory requirements
* Process invoices, expenses, and payments for multiple sites (as they open)
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Reconcile bank statements and prepare basic management reports
* Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally for employees and temporary workers
* Occasional month end accounting, budgets, forecasts, reporting and accounts payable tasks
* Prepare and analyze financial records
* Create accurate and clear financial analyses
* Build and maintain good working relationships with external contacts and with work colleagues, providing
financial assistance as and when required
* May assist in credit control for one division. Training provided
About You
Essential:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll processing and/or accounting
* Good working knowledge of Sage Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, pivots/lookups) and other accounting software
* Understanding of PAYE, NI, pensions, holiday pay rules and GDPR
* Commercially focused with a genuine interest in the workings of a business
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
* Excellent attention to detail, numerical skills, and ability to organise in a logical manner
* Formidable energy and drive, with ability to work independently within a fast changing and pressurised
environment
Desirable:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or working towards it
* Qualified payroll professional (CIPP) or working towards it
* Experience in Double-Entry and Trial Balance
* Knowledge of recruitment agency payroll complexities (e.g. temp timesheets)
* Experience in multi-site accounting operations

Are you an experienced Accounts Clerk looking to elevate your career? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their existing finance team. This role is immediately available and offers an element of hybrid working.
The Role:
- The position focuses on purchase ledger but will also include some sales ledger work when needed
- You'll be involved with debt management, including all credit control, customer communication, resolving customer queries, issuing credit notes, copy invoices and statements and ensuring payments are received as per agreed credit terms
- Posting stock supplier invoices to correct ledger accounts and allocating to the correct general ledger codes. Also reconciling monthly control accounts.
- Forecasting payments in all currencies and arranging pay runs in line with payment terms.
The Person:
- We're looking for someone with experience in a similar role and a good understanding of both purchase ledger and sales ledger functions including credit control, invoice processing, cash allocations and bank journal preparation.
- We are also prepared to consider someone with a little less experience in more of a junior role
- You'll have great attention to detail, be well organised and work well as part of a team
- Ideally you'll have an AAT qualification or equivalent and be experienced using SAP or a similar system.
The Package:
- A basic salary of 26,500 is available depending on experience

Morgan Mckinley are proud to be working exclusively with a growing international company based in central Bristol who are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join them on a fixed term 9 month contract. Due to growth there is a possibility the role could go permanent otherwise they are just looking for commitment for the period of 9 months.
