We are looking for an expert strategic insights & analytics leader to support SPT's International Productions Division. Using secondary & syndicated data analysis, data science & business intelligence, primary research, content analysis, ratings & consumption data analysis and social listening, the Director will serve as the point person for key SPT international series throughout their production lifecycles - including global market & content strategy, trend identification, landscape opportunity analysis, concept and pilot testing, content positioning, content promotion & launch / post launch analyses, and deep performance analytics - playing a meaningful and visible role in guiding content creation, optimizing audience engagement globally, and assessing performance of our first-run shows. In short, making our content the best it can be.
The Director, Insight, Strategy & Analytics is a leadership role reporting to the VP Insight, Strategy & Analytics in Los Angeles and will be based in our London office.
What you'll do:
Series Insights, Content Strategy & Analytics
The Director will be the Production Insights, Strategy & Analytics lead for SPT International Productions division. This leader will have a keen understanding of global trends and opportunities - conducting performance analyses, primary research and show studies tracking series' performance to optimize departmental development slates, understanding global genre trends and uncovering audiences' views on global series, to improve the sellability and performance of pitches and current series around the world and in US markets.
+ Must have a holistic experience with various ways to use insight / data tools to answer key business questions - from primary research to viewing / consumption data analysis, to social analytics, to data analytics solutions
+ Must understand both the US and International markets from a production landscape
+ Leverage studio wide tools and data sources to deeply understand content performance, content trends and audience engagement
+ Analyze the TV landscape, global trajectories & audience areas of growth / opportunity for development & production - using BARB, Nielsen, Ampere and other similar consumption data
+ Analyze adaptation potential of existing IP by looking into audience segments, key themes, and success factors
+ Utilize social media listening to understand audiences' needs and test hypotheses about content, including development & marketing opportunities
+ Utilize syndicated consumer & audience insight tools to answer content, development & landscape questions
+ Design primary research studies to test concepts, episodes, and series end to end - both qualitative & quantitative
+ Create innovative primary research techniques and source new techniques & methodologies from vendors
+ Act as a thought partner internally with executives and with external research vendors in managing and coordinating projects
+ Collaborate with research partners across Sony Pictures Entertainment and contribute to cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders
+ Strong presentation skills, able to tell data narratives that are strategic, succinct & visual, with a clear POV, to increase engagement & adoption of insights & data across the business
Thought Leadership & Strategy
We are looking for leader with a deep understanding of cultural, landscape & market trends and our buyers and network partners. The Director will use data and insights to guide decision making with business leaders to improve our market position and drive growth.
+ Lead analyses of broader global factors and shifts that would meaningfully impact and inspire SPT content, commissioning, and development
+ Lead content strategy analyses, understanding the factors by TV genre that are driving success globally
+ Drive thought leadership across SPT, producing strategic analyses to provide internal stakeholders and talent with impactful audience understanding that enables stronger international shows and strong global audience understanding
+ Support analyses of Int'l Prod Co strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, partnerships, whitespace analysis, forecasting, and opportunity modeling for the production space
+ Develop strategic insights about our buyer strategies and buyer-level commissioning trends in relation to genres and communicate those to creative teams and to senior leaders
Partnership with Creative Stakeholders
We are looking for a leader who is skilled in developing impactful and trusted relationships with creative executives and production leaders and who enjoys operationalizing insights throughout the creative lifecycle
+ Must have experience building impactful relationships with creative executives, such as development execs, producers, writers and showrunners
+ Must be skilled in developing data narratives that appeal to creatives
+ Must be passionate about operationalizing insights with our stakeholders, staying closely connected with our UK and Australian production companies
Team Leadership & Development
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about being a thought leader, manager & helping teams develop & grow their skillsets
+ Partner with team members across regions and help them master holistic methodologies & tools (primary research, syndicated data analysis, viewing e.g. BARB/Nielsen/Ampere, and social tools)
+ Guide strategic narrative building versus data provision

What you have:
+ Typically, 10+ years of experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative research (Media preferred)
+ Typically, 10+ years of experience in media consumption analysis (BARB, Nielsen and other similar consumption data sets)
+ Deep understanding of TV production business, including the major milestones from creative strategy to series delivery essential
+ Experience in global content insights, research & trends (US, UK & Australia preferred)
+ Experience commissioning, designing, and managing multi-market qualitative and quantitative research projects

Overview
This Director of Strategy and Go-to-Market will focus on selected growth initiatives, starting from evaluating A2A cross-border options for Mastercard. Scanning the market for innovations and opportunities, mapping internal assets, evaluating market demand, creating business cases and supporting the product team building viable solutions and taking product to the market.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver a consistent product vision, strategy and roadmap for Mastercard A2A cross-border options.
- Support the delivery of these key strategic options, following a regular reporting structure for senior leadership visibility and progress tracking against objectives.
- Ownership of product strategy, and execution of long-term and short-term strategic initiatives with a focus on developing core, scalable and revenue-driving products.

- Deep understanding of cross-border payments and market dynamics including regulatory, legal, competitive and technological landscapes.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
The Head of Strategy and Architecture, Digital Engineering Services & Solutions (DES) is responsible for articulating, developing, leading and driving the strategic direction and technical architecture of the Digital Engineering Services & Solutions department.
The role will cover Digital Engineering Services & Solutions incorporating Infrastructure and Service Management across EMEA Bank and International Securities and the countries that those entities operate in (15 plus).
The role will be accountable for leading and driving the department's strategic plans ensuring alignment and integration with MUFG's strategic goals, including Medium Term Business Plans (MTBP) across the Business and Technology.
The role will establish and design robust technical roadmaps to support a drive and transformation to a modern and digital technology architecture across the department, working closely with the various functions in the department to define a path to reach business needs. To enable this the role holder will have proven capability of designing modern, digital architecture and strategy fit for immediate and future technology advancements.
The Head of Strategy and Architecture, Digital Engineering Services and Solutions will play a pivotal role in driving transformation, identifying emerging technologies and leveraging them to gain competitive advantage. The role holder will have extensive proven experience of establishing, creating and driving delivery of strategic digital transformation in global organisations.
The role holder will have indirect leadership of a team of Strategy and Architect leads, fostering a culture of technical enterprise architectural and engineering excellence. The role holder will have proven experience of leading and influencing both directly and indirectly in global organisations.
This is a senior leadership position and an integral part of the Digital Engineering Solutions and Services Leadership team.
The role will require proven experience of influencing and communicating with C level and Board level executives.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead the design, development, operation and management of the departments strategy and architectural roadmaps ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic goals.
+ Develop the departments short, medium and long term strategic goals and objectives, including defining the vision and mission.
