Responsibilities:
- Create and produce manufacturing work instructions and documentation.
- Liaise and interact with various teams such as operations, IT and tooling to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Explore and initiate new processes, methods and layouts, allowing more equipment flexibility and improving throughput.
- Analyse and report on parameters such as production processes, methods, cycle time, schedules and waste management amongst others.
- Coordinating maintenance and repair to keep production equipment operational and in service.
- Support the TPM with structured problem solving projects linked to project deliverables and day-to-day manufacturing issues.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Minimum qualification HND in mechanical discipline.
- Extensive CAD experience/proficiency.
- Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Statistical Process Control is beneficial.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and basic metrology skills.
- Previous experience producing manufacturing work documentation and instructions.
- Experience in metal component processing, including surface finishing for aerospace components.
- Exceptional IT Knowledge and software understanding (SolidWorks/MS Office etc.)
- Great communication skills and ability to break down technical information for a non-technical audience.
- Right to live and work in the UK.

- Disassemble customer landing gears to a high standard and without causing damage to any individual components.
- Working with the team to meet department schedule deadlines.
- Preparing parts for next operation ensuring parts are correctly identified and presented in a manner where damages will not occur.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassemble customer landing gears I.A.W the manufacturer instructions (CMM).
- Avoid additional damage and work with team to communicate required improvements to tooling and processes.
- Work to tight deadlines.
- Control of personal and company tools.
- Awareness and understanding of the computer-based MOE (IQMove).
- Uphold housekeeping standards.
- Report to Leading Hand / Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated.
- Embrace an open reporting culture.
- Participate and contribute to team dialog meetings.
- Carry out missing and damaged inspections.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes Required:
- Equivalent to GCSE A-C grades
- It would be advantageous but not essential that the applicant would have served an apprenticeship. within a mechanical assembly / disassembly environment.
- Illustrate previous knowledge and experience of use of hand tools.
- Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE.
- Previous use of overhead cranes and forklifts would be preferable.
- It would be preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment.
- Great team player, Good communicator, Punctual and reliable.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Able to follow instruction and learn / absorb working methods.
- Excellent approach to Quality, Health, and safety.
- Good manual dexterity.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends.
- The nature of the job requires the applicant to come into contact with various greases and oils.
- The position involves the training and use of overhead cranes.

As an Aerospace Textiles Operative , you'll be responsible for assembling, cutting, and stitching all fabric and webbing parts required for seat assembly and survival aid containers. Your key duties will include:
- Making components using the appropriate fabrics from standard templates and instructions
- Part marking components and labels using ink pads and rubber stamps
- Cutting patterns and templates from drawings and using them to accurately cut fabric pieces
- Monitoring for imperfections in materials or mistakes in patterns and instructions
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to identify and apply part numbers, drawing issues, and relevant surface finishes
What We're Looking For
