Our Aerospace Client based in Bedfordshire, require the services of a CAD Designer to support them for a 3 - 6 month period rolling contractor basis.

This role is offered on a contract basis through Strongfield Consultants and is an Inside IR35 role and will be paid on a PAYE basis.

Some Hybrid working flexibility is possible - Mondays and Fridays.


Role:

The successful candidate will be mainly draughting and updating drawings on CATIA V5 CAD. Alongside this the PLM tool being used is Windchill. The Designer may be working on both civil and defence related programs.

It is s requirement that the successful candidate undergo BPSS Security Clearance screening for this role.

You will have a track record of delivering high quality technical work, and be comfortable within a project environment. You will have good written and oral communication skills, and be confident working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including non-technical colleagues.

Tasks:

Create and maintain detailed design definition (drawings / specifications) including interfaces, dimensions, materials, parts, manufacturing process requirements, assemblies, and tolerances needed to ensure product functional design requirements are met.
