Job Description
Under the Central Hub Manager, focus on the day-to-day operation of the Traffic management schemes booked in from clients and actioned by the central Hub administrators. Fully utilising the software available and monitoring operations boards and e-mail accounts. This role will work closely with the other depot stakeholders to ensure excellent service to all clients.
Key Responsibilities
To ensure all activities have been logged and recorded on our management software – Total Mobile and
Operations boards.
Key operational stages across the Central hub. These include.
- Work order creation; ensuring process is followed, and any IT issues raised and followed
- through until rectified
- Plan and mobilise stage; ensuring accurate date is captured and uploaded to ops boards.
- Clear and control administration of designated mailboxes.
- Change management; capture and changes to works order requests.
- Ensure all necessary information has been submitted with the job request.
- Assisting commercial for any client credit information
Key Result Areas
- Assist with submitting weekly whereabouts and planned works are updated daily (what’s out where report), transparent and easily accessible to the foreman and management in both the daybook and Total Mobile and reports produced and sent out to Clients as required.
- Provide excellent service to all customers by ensuring SLA’s and delivery / collection requirements are being met.
- Actively source and report on customer feedback.
- Accurate administration and return of all TM paperwork generated at Depot.
- Ensure that all bookings and off-hires have been actioned immediately to make certain that daily reports for revenue and utilisation are up-to-date.
- Total Mobile Billing – overview and assist on billing for all regional depots, work with commercial team to ensure all activities have been captured and billed correctly.
- Attend weekly billing meetings to ensure billing accuracy at the request of the CH Manager.
- S74/FPN – Monitor any resulting fines passed onto GTM, provide evidence and close out, inform commercial departments on accruals required and advise on recharges back to 3rd party suppliers or as required by the CH Manager.
- Clear & committal communication with internal and external customers via the depot mailboxes.
- Reply to customer emails clearly and coherently, aiming to resolve issues first time around. Maximising information returned.
- Responsible to ensure use of Optimise / Resource Visualiser.

- Full valid UK driving licence

Job Description
As an experienced Traffic Management Operative, you will be required to work on Traffic Management Schemes for a range of projects, helping them to run smoothly and efficiently to achieve maximum production in a working day, whilst maintaining a high Health and Safety standard. This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business. You must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required. You must have a can do and responsible attitude to work.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
- Oversee all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Convoy working, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions
- Ensure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures
- Carry out risk assessments and method statements on works involving traffic management
- Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible. Identify areas that can be improved and report to your line manager
- Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out – to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of vehicle and the safety of the driver and passenger
- Promote positive company image whilst at work (via wearing of company clothing, attitude, and site cleanliness)
- Demonstrate initiative by constantly looking to see where improvements can be made
- Assist the public, directing them through safe site lines when required
- Ascertain when management intervention is required
GTM Golden Rules to be followed
- Only undertake Traffic Management activities that you have the qualification to undertake (LANTRA)
- All Traffic Management setups must be compliant with guidance and legislation (Red Book, Chapter 8, ARTSM etc.)
- Regularly check your site to ensure it remains compliant
- Report any unsafe acts and conditions, and rectify immediately if safe and competent to do so
- Drive safely and avoid distractions. Keep within the speed limit and drive with due care and attention to prevent road traffic collisions
- Park vehicles safely, taking consideration of members of the public and other road users
- Five-point PPE to be worn on site at all times
Experience and Qualifications
- Lantra 12d accreditation as a minimum TTMBC, 12d (M1-M2)
- Lantra 12 a/b accreditation, IPV driver, foreman advantageous
- Provide evidence that you understand the differences between Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (red book) and how these apply
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Be able to read and understand CAD drawings, in relation to the works required
- Preferable to have mechanical ability in relation to Traffic Lights

Traffic Management Operatives
Location: South West England (site based in Staverton, Devon, TQ9 6AQ)
Hourly rate: 12.50 - 14 depending on experience and qualifications held
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours p/w. Weekends and overtime available. Nights shifts would be in rotation.
About the role
Working alongside other Traffic Management Operatives, your role will involve working & helping with Traffic Management throughout the South West, as required by the contracted works. The right candidate must be reliable and punctual with a good attitude to work. Further training to progress in the traffic management industry will also be available for the right candidate. This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, with opportunities for overtime. You may also be required to work night shifts which will be paid at a higher rate. Weekend work is available but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Installing / removing Temporary Traffic Management
- Load & maintain equipment (temporary traffic signals and road closures etc.)
- Site maintenance (temporary traffic signals and road closures etc.)
- Liaise with clients and sub-contractors
- Reporting any incidents, near misses etc.
- Ensure that daily vehicle checks are conducted to ensure the vehicle's appearance and cleanliness are of appropriate standard, as well as the driver and passenger's safety.
Requirements
- TTMBC as a minimum, 12D (M1 & M2) advantageous
- A full valid UK Driving Licence
- A years minimum experience in a similar Traffic Maintenance role beneficial
- Adaptability and Flexibility
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Driven with an enquiring mind and a 'can do' outlook

This role is all about overseeing and planning traffic management for technology works, leading a team of Road Space Coordinators, and making sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
The Role:

·Leading and supporting a team of Road Space Coordinators.
